Makas pov
At the dance
I danced with my friends and we partied for a while. Until I realized soul was gone. I looked around but he was nowhere to be found.
I looked outside and I saw him standing by the gate. "What are you doing?" I asked. "Waiting for Blair" he said. "Come on you can wait inside" I said pulling his arm trying to get him to get in.
He pulled his arm back and continued waiting. I sighed and decided to go back home. I walked home and sat on the couch petting rollo thinking.
I've always depend on soul to be by my side. Only he wasn't going to be by my side. No he would be with Blair and I would lose him forever. I felt tears pour down my face. I needed to go back and beg soul to not go out with her. I got up and ran out only for it to start raining. I fell to my knees.
I lost.
Soul was Blair's. I would stand alone and only watch as she would be by his side. I felt more tears. I sobbed snd screamed out his name.
Blair's pov
I walked to the dance an umbrella in my hand.
I felt awful being late but I had ro finish packing. I was going to move but first I wanted at least one date with soul.
I heard sobbing I turned a corner and saw maka crying and yelling souls name. I sighed. I had to do the right thing. Not like I had a chance with soul anways. I walked to the dance and saw soul.
He smiled at me but I didn't return it. "Is something wrong?" He asked. I nodded. "I'm going to be moving and not looking for a relationship" I said and walked away.
Souls pov
Great rejected before the date. I sighed and walked home. I entered and saw maka sleeping on the couch. I smirked. " At least I'll always have you" I thought out loud.
I picked her up and layed her on her bed. I was about to leave when I heard her faint voice.
"Soul don't leave my side" she said talk dreaming. "Maka" I said. I moved away her bangs and kissed her forhead.
I left her room after I could've sworn I saw her smile.
