chapter nine

I saw JACE. And that was when all the effervescent in my body hits in. I felt that energy. The excitement surrounding my whole body. I stand up and approach to the teacher.

I made an excuse and leave the class. My eyes start to search for him. Every single inch of my nerves were telling me that I need to see him. Again and again.

I walked straight to the field. He was there. Playing as I watched him ten feets away from where I was. I never realized he was such a good player. He knows many tricks and everyone love the was he is playing. I couldn't do anything but stand and stare.

I must admit, I was lost in what I was seeing. He started to look in my direction. He saw me. I don't knoe how he does it, but he sees everything around him. Everyone.

He was looking at me. I started to blush. I can feel the heat in my face. My face is turning red. I wanteed to turn around and walk away but I couldn't. I don't know how to move myself. My legs. My everything.

As much as it made me nervous, I was also comfortable with the eyecontact we held. His eyes spoke to me. I dont know if mine responded, but his eyes told me he needed me to walk towards him.

That was the moment I realized. THE TENSION BETWEEN US. He winked. I strung and start to walk the opposite direction.

Remember I have a boyfriend.

Its been several hours since I arrived home. I have done each of my homeworks. I am hungry but I also don't want to eat. I forgot to text Aaron. Actually I didn't. I just don't want to text him. So I opened tiktok and start  scrolling.

I suddenly opened jaces message. I didn't know that he had texted me.
It was a simple "Hey."
"What's going on?" i replied  .
"you." Huh, so now we are flirting.
"Stop it jace. How was practice?"
"Like you saw me."
"you are so good at it."
"And you are so good at distracting me." I start to smile.
"Keep donig it." Oh, my God. He is so damn good at flirting. Everything is so beautiful when he is in it. Even school

I close my eyes. Take a nap for the rest of the night.

"Sofia, we need to talk." Aaron obviously, here we go again. He always got something to talk.
"We can talk later. I'm working now." I answered without looking at him.
"Where is Erik?"Aaron asked. He looks so angry. I haven't seen Erik, though.
"I don't know where he is."
"Of course,  you know where he is. You sat the whole day with him. Yesterday. Didn't you?" MILES, dick head. He definitely told him.
"I said I don't know. Go find he if you want." I shouted then i stand up.
"Sofia, you can not spend time with another boy when I am not around."

I feel so angry right now that I could just slap him. Bit I take control of myself.
"Who are you? Who do you think you are? I have the right to do anything I want. You are not in charge of me." I yell.

"You are my girlfriend and no one can get closer to you."
"Keep telling that to yourself. I've had enough of you!" I saw zion coming to our direction. I think he saw Aaron treating me like shit. e
Even though we are not that close, he care enough to beat the fuck out of Aaron.

"Aaron, just leave me alone." My voice start to shake. I usually cry when i am angry.
"Sof..? " Erik is standing two feets away from me. He started to scan Aarons face. 
"Sof. Talk to me. What's wrong?" I i knew if I say something, zion is gonna cause trouble.
"Not-- hing."
"Who the fuck do you think you are?! " Aaron start to look at Erik in a bad way. I don't know what I have to do. Erik take onefoot closer to Aaron.
"Did you talk to me?"

"Guys. please, stop. If you got caught, you will be suspended." Aaron pushed Erik against the wall. erik can't take that disrespect he titles his side to the direction where I am standing and gave me a look. I think he wanted to say he can't take it anymore.

It's a dark stare. He's so mad right now that he's breathing really hard.
