I moved my fingers along the strings of the guitar, a loud yet beautiful melody filled the emptiness of my room.
I live in a pretty cramped and rather rowdy apartment, my brother and I don't earn much money so we get what we can afford.
Balancing school work and working a nine-to-five job isn't exactly easy for my brother and me. Some days, he skips school to go to work so we can pay the rent.
We don't have any care-takers or parents. We spent most of our lives in an orphanage, due to unfortunate events happening to the orphanage, we fled.
Honestly, I don't even know why we're still in school. We have school fees to pay yet we haven't even paid once, I guess our principal does pity run-away orphans like us.
A loud knock was punched against the front door. I gently place down my guitar and skipped down the small hallway to the door.
"Oi! what have I told ya' about playin' that damn guitar?! it's a nuisance yer' little shit!", I sighed internally.
Nobody has a problem with me playing my guitar except for this old geezer. He's always bitching and complaining about me to the owner of the complex but the guy who owns this place just shrugs it off.
"Sorry old man, I'll keep it down", I slammed the door in his face before he could say anything else.
I ran back into my room and slid under my covers, Xiao hasn't come home yet and it's after 8. Despite his height, he is pretty strong. Make it out alive Xiao.
It's Monday tomorrow! the results for those who are in the school's official band are about to come up! I can't wait, I'm pretty sure I'll get in.
