After me and Danny ran we just went to school while dais brought our things. Weird. Mikey and Mags greeted me and dais like normal, just with an extra “happy birthday.” I already know this day is going to be the worst day of my life since before meeting the Misfits.
Now this may be a surprise but I don’t like my birthday. I've always been alone on my birthday. Sure I have my family but Daisy always went out to parties and I freak out at those, Danny was hanging with his huge friend group, Mary was hanging out with the neighbors, and my parents were at work. I was always alone. School was worse, I sat away from dais, dan wasn’t in my class, mary wasn’t in my grade, and my class hated me. The only exception was george.
Now I was heading to my locker, listening to everything around me. A girl breaking up with a boy, a boy breaking up with a girl, lockers being opened and closed, Davis and Carter fighting, simple things. I wonder why they're fighting, they never do. Davis usually just follows whatever Carter says without a question in sight.
I reach my locker, unlock it, and pull it open. I always keep it locked. A small paper fan made out of a notecard falls out. I picked it off the ground and put my backpack in my locker. I also grabbed my things that I'll need for the day out of my locker. Then I walked into Ms. E’s classroom.
I sit down at my seat and open the notecard. I smooth it out so I can read it. Who wrote this, this is dumb, you should’nt write in red on a pink notecard. Hey, meet me in the library during your lunch time. I need to talk to you. The note was signed by G.K. Now that’s definitely george. I wonder what he needs to talk about, it better not be about me being fifteen now.
“What does that say,” mikey asked. When did he get in here? Actually, that doesn't matter right now. Micheal and I are the only misfits in Ms. E’s classroom right now. I’m not sure where mags is but I know dais had to ask her math teacher something.
“It says nothing important, just a random kid asking me for math answers,” I lied. I don’t want to lie to Terry but he doesn't need to know about this. Why did George start talking to me now, we talked like five times in seventh grade. Sure he wasn’t mean and treated me as an actual human being but we rarely talked.
I looked outside of the class, looking for the rest of the misfits. Instead of seeing them I saw familiar burn marks on a boy's face. Jacob Carter and a boy who looks similar to him, probably his brother. Carter definitely got the short stick in the height department. His brother is a whole foot taller than him. Instead of green eyes, Carter's brother had brown eyes. He has similar short, red, messy hair. It seems like they’re fighting but I can’t hear them.
“Why are Noah and Carter out there?” Micheal asked. “Noah?” I smirked with a questioning tone. “He’s Carter’s brother, they are nothing alike, Noah is really sweet and funny,” Mikey blushed. I knew it, he likes him. Terry saw my face and was about to say something when the door opened.
“Micheal, Terry, Mikes, I need you to answer a question,” an angry looking Noah yelled. His brother was standing behind him, looking slightly more mad. “Uh, what is it,” Mikey chuckled. Before noah could say anything we heard a scream from a girl.
“Do you know who that is, he’s a member of the masks, a freak,” the girl cried. I think her name is skylar, yeah skyler evans. “Oh, shut up, look, it’s a person not in a group, a normal person,” Mikey mocked. What is wrong with some people. “I’m not doing anything to you so why are you yelling at me, just leave me alone,” noah ordered. The girl turend scarlet out of embarrassment.
“What are the masks,” I asked. “Do you really think the misfits and royals are the only groups here,” Noah laughed. “There are more groups,” I shouted. “Yeah, you guys, the Misfits, the Royals, the Masks, the Sporties, The dramas, and the Stars,” Noah listed. “Well, micheal, me and my brother have a disagreement, your not friends with me just to spite him right,” noah questioned. “Of course not,” Michael yelled.
