It’s been about a week since I met the Misfits and somthings not right with Mikey. He usually gets to school before us and I think something happens before we get there. When we get to school he’s covered in more bruises and cuts, he says he falls a lot but it’s obvious he’s lying. I know I've only known him for a week but I don't like seeing him hurt. To solve this problem I got the rest of the Misfits and I to go to school earlier.
“Are you sure this is going to work,” Daisy asked. “Nope but we’re going to try anyway,” I smiled. “This is stupid, but we gotta try,” Maggie chuckled. We’re waiting in a bush close to our school, we can’t see the school but we’re close. “Wait, I think I see him,” I whispered while pointing at my friend. He didn’t have any new cuts or bruises like he usually does.
“Hey Linwood,” a mystery voice shouted. The person who owns the voice walked over to Mikey and put a hand on his shoulder. That boy, I recognised him from when I met Michael. He was the redhead beating him up! I don’t know his name, but I really should. I’ve heard his name before, at least twice.
“What do you want, Carter,” Michael asked. “For you to stop acting like a little brat and do what you’re told,” the mystery boy grinned. “Is this just a game to you, am I just a toy in your eyes, are you the kid and I’m the doll,” Mikey questined. “I am no child but you are a doll, you never do what you're told,” Carter chuckled. “I’m not going to bully my little brother,” Michael yelled.
Carter then pushed Michael to the ground. This kid is incredibly strong, Michael is 6’2 and Carter looks to be about 5’5. Michael was then kicked in the face by Carter, that’s gonna leave a mark. He puts his hand in his pocket and pulls out a pocket knife. I feel like this is where someone should step in.
“Hey Carter, I have a quick question, what did Michael do to you,” I asked. “He didn’t bully his younger brother like I asked,” Carter smiled. “Okay, now I'm even more confused, why would you want him to bully his brother and two, how does that affect you,” I queried. “His brother hsas a good relationship with him and my brother hates me,” Carter frowned. “Oh, you’re jealous, well I'm just letting you know three people saw you hurt Michael, I doubt your brother would love you more if he found out about this, he’d probably distance himself from you,” I smiled.
Maggie and Daisy climbed out of the bushes and stood next to me. Carter looked directly at me, you could see the hatred burning in his eyes. Carter slowly puts his pocket knife back in his pocket. Good, now no one is going to die today, well no one I know personally. People die every day, we only think about death when you know the person who dies.
“Just for your information my name’s Jacob, Jacob Carter,” Carter chuckled. “Just for your information I don't care,” I smiled. “You know one day I'll cut you up into pieces,” Carter grinned before walking in the direction of school. I know for a fact he’s not allowed to bring a knife on school grounds.
“So are we telling someone about the knife or find out if he’s going to use it,” Maggie asked. “I say option two, what do you guys think,” Daisy grinned like a mad woman. “I think you're both idiots,” both me and Mikey sighed in unison. “That’s mean, you two are mean,” Maggie winned. “You’re acting like children,” I chuckled. “Crazy ones,” Michael added.
After explaining why we shouldn’t wait to find out if he planned on using the weapon we all walked to the school. I have a perfect school record while the others don’t. If our principle is going to believe any of us they're going to believe me. The worst thing I've ever done in school was in kindergarten, I was speaking at a three instead of a two. Sure the teachers still hated me but that doesn't matter.
I went to the principal office while the others went to their classes. Mrs. Colton has a marble office cleaner than anything I've ever seen. I would say I'm an organized person but this is just creepy, really creepy. The room looks like it was just moved into but this school has been here for at least a hundred years. After fifteen minutes the principal comes in and tells me to take a seat.
