"What? Um yes. I mean I don't know." Nervousness takes over as you stumble for the right things to say, as if there is actually a right thing to say in this situation.
Why are you actually out here?
"Well, I do know. I just needed sometime outside to put myself back together. Today has been crazy for me. Relationship stuff has kinda taken over my mind. Oh, and my name is Y/N" You say all this as you wipe the remainder of the displaced mascara from your cheeks. You don't know why you've decided to be so open with this stranger, but it's happening despite the social standards that you probably should have followed. You also don't know why you didn't ask for his name in return, but now it's too late to add into the already mixed up statement.
It takes him a few seconds to comprehend the mess of words you just threw at him but once he understands the basics of it all, his face becomes worried and his eyebrows furrow.
"Oh babes, sounds like you should really be at home taking care of yourself instead of spending your night at a concert that some crazy ass guys are putting on." He says as a grin slowly starts to peak at the corner of his mouth. "I've heard they can be a lot to handle." He continues, while trying to mask his smile.
You have been truthfull with this guy so far, so why stop now. "Honestly, you are completely and utterly right. I don't want to see some stupid band I know nothing about. I should be focusing on myself and not some selfish prick that all these teenage girls are obsessed with." You've lost your breathe and you take a second before picking back up where you paused. "Besides, this frontman will have enough freaky chicks losing their shit for him. He doesn't need another girl in his audience."
You realize that while you went off on a rant, the man you've been venting to has started to snicker. He doesn't say anything, he just waits for you to continue your thought.
What part of what I said is funny to him?
"Um, anyways. I will probably go back in to the show to support my friend. She has loved this band for a couple of years now and I don't want her to be too worried about me while she should be enjoying the show."
As you look back to him, his eyes are focused on your lips. The same lips that were just gabbing on about stuff he most definitely doesn't care about. You take a second to give him the chance to sway his gaze but he looks like he's studying something that he has to remembered later on, something urgent. Although he's stuck in a state of awe for a few seconds, his eyes soon flash back up to yours with a sort of innocence that was't there just a few seconds ago. You try not to read too much into his little moment of curiosity and try to move in from it with no questions asked.
"Well, that's very nice of you to put up with a self-center pretentious frontman and crazy fanbase for your friend." He exerts with a slight side smile. "I would love to talk more but I have to rush back inside...to support and help my friends out as well."
"Oh, ya. Of course. That's probably smart" You smile like an idiot towards this man. "Maybe I'll see you later?" you say with hopefulness. You have no clue why you want to see him again. What would you have to again from it?
"I think more than likely, we will see each other again" He expresses with a grin bigger than before. "Good luck with your friend and I hope you figure your heart out." He winks and walks away. After a few steps, he turns around and shouts, "You can call me Healy by the way."
