A/N:

I made the cover picture, and it is FIRE! I hope you guys like it, too! Anyway, enough of my incoherent babble, enjoy!

Three months later...

...And if My people, who are called by My Name, humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place.

-2 Chronicles 7:14-15

Yalbec Prime; three standard years after the Battle of Geonosis, three months before Order 66

"Come and get it, bitches!" Wrecker yells, cutting down Yalbec after Yalbec as they try to overwhelm our position. I still find it hard to believe how much he and Hardcase are alike. Even though thinking about him brings back mainly horrible memories from Umbara, it's kind of nice to have some familiarity with my new squad.

"Language is not going to help the situation, Wrecker," says Tech over the comms.

"It's helping me plenty!" He shoots back.

"Less talking, more fighting," says Hunter. Wrecker cuts down another Yalbec just as one grabs the Sergeant by the neck. "Wrecker, knife!" He turns and throws the knife. It embeds itself in the Yalbecs' throat with deadly accuracy, its greenish-yellow blood running down its chin.

"Nice throw!" I say, giving Wrecker an enthusiastic thumbs-up.

"Hey, thanks!" He replies, returning the gesture.

"Come on guys, let's finish this," says Hunter, pulling the knife from the Yalbec's throat. "Commander Cody wants us on Anaxes ASAP, so let's wrap this up, shall we?" He cuts down four Yalbecs as he speaks.

"With pleasure," says Wrecker, cracking his knuckles. "Sarge, knife."

"Have fun, kid," he says, handing him the giant blade.

And just like that, Wrecker's off, cutting through Yalbec after Yalbec–again–making a hole in their ranks. The sound of Crosshair's cover fire from a rocky outcropping a few klicks above us dwindles as the amount of the Yalbecs goes down until there's only about two dozen or so out of the hundreds that almost overwhelmed us minutes earlier. Wrecker cuts about half of them down, and the rest--clearly not wanting to meet the same fate as their comrades--surrender, throwing down their weapons and holding their hands high above their heads.

"Good work, Wrecker," says Hunter. He gets on the comlink. "Commander Gett, you're clear to make your descent. Repeat, the Yalbecs have surrendered, you are clear for landing. Over."

"Roger that, Sargeant," says Gett. "Thanks for the assist. You boys better get going. Commander Cody really needs your help over on Anaxes. Intel says it's a meat-grinder over there." Meat-grinder. Now, where does that sound familiar?
