Chapter 3 - The town

The next day I wake up to Olive standing near my desk. "Oh, good morning, Y/n, do you want to come with us to town."

"Yeah, sure let me just dress up." She nods and she looks at my clothes and takes out my shortest dress, it's a light pink tutu like dress with a corset with purple details. I smile and nod as I get up to change and Olive let me change. I put on the matching shoes, necklace, earrings, and bows. I come out and she looks at me shocked, "You look gorgeous in this dress."

"Thanks Olive"

I went downstairs and looked up to see everyone looking at me, and I caught Enoch and for a moment I thought I saw him looking at me like I was one of the prettiest girls he had seen but when I looked back, he was just looking at his plate. So, I just sat down and started eating and ignored the stares of the other children. Once I finished my food, I got up to wash my plates. I turned around to be startled by Enoch standing right behind cause me to almost fall but he puts his arm around my waist, and it stops me from falling. I look up at him as I get back on my two feet. His eyes are so beautiful, I continue to look at him and I start to get closer to him until Olive comes in the kitchen and cough, "You are in front of my tea..." I leave to go upstairs to avoid any embarrassment. I do my makeup and change my dress into a more subtle not to bring any unwanted attention from the people that live in the village, before sneaking out to join Olive, Hugh, and Millard.

"Hi everyone so what are we doing?"

"We are going to steal thing we want and the person who as the most things win," Olive says excitement.

"Ooh sounds fun, I'm in."

I follow Olive in a dress shop and notice a beautiful dress that was a long flowy white dress that was so beautiful. Olive then turn around and take the dress of the mannequin before running away with it the lady at the shop started to run after her and I stole a couple necklace and ring. I ran to the next shop and I start to take things when the lady sees I run away and laugh but once I put everything I stole into the bag that I also took I noticed a group of armed men pointing at me and they start to run after me and I realize how close they are getting to me so I run but one of them catches up to me and throws me on the ground "It's her... I caught the thief." He looks at me then smirk, he must have been my age, "You are a pretty one, aren't you?" I felt crept out so I used my peculiarity to escape but before I could, he takes his knife, lift my dress, and start to make a cut on my stomach, so I kick him so I could use my telekinesis to push him off me. I run away where I meet up with the others, they look worried as they see my dress with blood I walk toward the house while holding the cut on my stomach. Olive looks at me worried. We finally arrive to the house and Emma notice me and runs to me and scream, "Y/N ARE YOU BLEEDING? LET ME GET YOU SOME BANDAGES AND MEDICINE"

She makes everyone sit in the kitchen and she runs off to get the medicine and as soon as she does Enoch get down the stairs in pure rage, I had never seen Enoch so mad before.

"WHAT WERE YOU ALL THINKING, SHE COULD HAVE DIED, DO YOU NOT THINK OR ARE YOU ALL JUST STUPID." "AND YOU WHAT WERE YOU THINKING GOING TO THE VILLAGE LIKE THAT."

I look at him as tears form in my eyes. He noticed and took my hands and took me in his arm and carried me upstairs to my room. "Wait here I'll go get the bandages and medicine." I watch him leave and wait for him to come back. He came back with everything, "I am sorry for yelling at you, you could not have known that it was dangerous" I looked at him with soft eyes I nod.

"Where are you injured?" I look at him and shyly ask him to turn around I then put some short and then I tell him he can turn back around; I lift my dress and reveal my stomach he looks at me worried "Did they do anything else to you? Did they touch you?" he asks?

"No, they did not" I look at him in the eyes hand place my hand on his cheeks "I promise."

I lay back down so he can treat the cut which was quite deep. I gasped at the alcohol, and he took my hand and gave me one of his dolls, "You can squeeze it as hard as you want, it will help with the pain."

He looks back at the wound and starts to stitch it up. Once he is done, he looks at me and takes my hand "Don't ever do that again, I thought that something happened to you and that you were dead, you scared me to death." I saw the pain in his eyes and hugged him.

"Don't be sad I am here now, okay?"

"Yeah, well now that you are stitched up, I will leave you to rest. Bye"

I smiled and took a nap before supper. This night after supper I kept track of the days and made a calendar to know approximately when everyone's birthday was and I noticed that Emma's birthday was coming up in two days so I asked Miss Peregrine if we could celebrate it with a party, she looked confused on how I can keep track and I explained that I looked at the calendar in the pub in this loop and compared it to the present time one that I stole when I travelled to come to this loop, which had the date that I got out of my loop circled. I explained that back at my old loop we would always celebrate everyone's birthday, so we only kept track of time for that. She accepted and I started to prepare everything for the party. I asked the other peculiar to help and we prepared one of the big empty rooms for the party. Once everything was done, I waited till everyone was gone on a walk to make a cake and once it was done, I hid it in the fridge and went to wash up before supper.

Once everyone was back, I helped for the supper and sat down next to Enoch to eat.

We watched the movie and then we prepared for the reset, and I was excited. Once the reset was finished everyone went to bed, I looked at each of the box and was excited to see each of them in their outfit. I was about to go to bed when I noticed that Enoch was still up.

I knocked on his door and waited for him to open. He looked at me confused "Is your wound hurting?" He asked worried. "No don't worry, I just wanted to see you." I said calmly.

He nodded and continued working on his puppets.

"So why did you hate me when I arrived?" He looked at me confused "I didn't hate you."

I looked at him and asked, "Then why were you so mean at me?" he raised his shoulder and just continued to try to put the heart in. I smile and continue to watch him work on his project. I start to look at him and notice how gorgeous he his, his eyes are pretty, and his hair is soft, and his nose is so cute, and his lips look so...

"Y/n?"

"Yes?"

"I was asking you if you could give me a hand and hold the fabric."

"Yes sorry"

"What were you thinking so deeply about?" he asks with a smirk.

"Nothing." I say embarrassed. I help him and once he is done, I tell him that he should go to sleep soon, and I get up to leave but before I do I mess his hair up and smile as I run away to my room.

*Enoch POV*

I looked at her leaving my room and my heart was going crazy I never felt so shaken before. Maybe Olive was right maybe I was in love with Y/n. I looked at the homunculi and asked it to go get me flowers and I waited for it to come back. Once it came back, I took the flower and wrote a small note on a piece of paper, then asked the other homunculi to go put the flower and the note in Y/n room. I waited for it to come back before I went to bed.
