Don't mind me, I'm here

"Man this sucks..." Tom complained to himself when he held the letter in his hand.

He already knew the contents of this letter, that it would inform him that his mother died. He wasn't

exactly saddened by this, but he was still upset nonetheless. He knew a few months in advance that this

would happen soon, as she had been extremely sick, and hadn't been getting better. Plus, he didn't

believe that his mom actually like him. But he didn't really care, at least now he wouldn't have to deal the

her bull shit. All that was left now was her funeral, once he made through that, he would be free from his

family's drama.

Tom's family was rich, they weren't like: "Oh wow! That's a really nice home." No, they were rich

rich. Like, his family owned 5 mansions and 6 summer homes. To make things worse, his family's wealth

didn't exactly give them a good reputation. As his family was the snobby kind, with no feelings for

people in poverty, or in any worse financial state that they weren't in. Tom knew he wasn't like his family

though, as his parents didn't give him the same kind of love that his siblings got. They treated him like

somebody on the street, begging for food. When he was younger he would just be happy that his

parents would show up to his birthday, which is kind of sad when he thinks about it now. But never mind

that all he had to do was suck it up for a few hours at her funeral.

Honestly, he hated the idea of being around his family, the people that hated him for so long.

Since he'd long since gave up the idea of patching things together, he wanted to come up with a excuse

not to attend. But going to the funeral would most likely be inevitable, so he devised a plan.

1: Go to the funeral. ( Try to act sad )

2: Say goodbye or whatever, maybe kick the coffin while I'm at it.

3: Say something good about her. ( That'll be the hardest part )

4: Leave

5: Come back around a week later for the will reading. ( She probably didn't leave anything for me

though )

Who knows what'll happen after? He realized that he was living this wealthy life, but it'll probably

all go down from here. The house was his mothers, and since she's dead, it'll probably go to one of his

siblings. It was practically guaranteed that he'd be kicked out, not even a second after his family knew

who'd the house would go to. There had to be a backup plan for his life, something that he could at least

survive off of. Maybe he should open up something like... a business? That would be fun, and how hard

could it be? He could open up a diner, maybe he'd call it 'Big Man Tom's Diner' or something like that.

"Yea!" He said to himself in confidence.

That's what he was going to do, he was going to open a diner. He would have the best

employees, and the best paying customers. Every other diner in town would go out of business!! He

laughed to himself, and with a swift opening of the door, he stepped outside to head to his car.

♦︎♦︎♦ He had set off for the funeral in his car, which was extremely old and could barely function. He

had to stop ever few minutes, since it felt like the car battery would explode. It took awhile for him to get

at the funeral, it wasn't exactly something he planned, but it still worked. He ended up being fashionably

late because of his car, but being fashionable is a good thing, right? He looked around, and conversed

with other people. After a few conversations, he was practically seething.

Almost everybody else had wanted to open a diner! How was this possible, there's so many

other buildings you could open! But of course, everybody else had to choose the diner, the one HE

chose first. He learned that apparently, 5 people, 3 dogs, 2 cats, and a dead body all wanted to open a

diner as well. The names they thought were terrible to him, who would want to go to a place called

'Mediocre Feline Diner'. What kind of name even is that? He walked away from the crowd, and he stood

under a willow tree. Tom saw it was wilting, and felt a bit of remorse for the old tree. But he couldn't

exactly give the tree his attention right now, and chose to be blind to it. Pulling out his phone, he scrolled

through his contacts till he found the one he needed.

Why would he call somebody right now? Well, he came up with a plan. If apparently everybody

else was going to open a diner, he had to make sure they didn't live to see it. Like before, he chose to

quickly create a flawless plan:

1: Get a bomb. ( Surely will be easy )

2: Bomb this funeral.

3: Set a fire, to make sure nobody else survives.

4: Flee

5: Burn down every other diner in town.

6: Open a diner, without getting caught

"Flawless, as I expected!" Tom praised himself, he was already excited about his plan.

He landed on the contact he needed, and pressed the call button. He held the phone up to his ear,

listening the ringing till he would pick up.

"Hello?" A person spoke from the other end.

"Hey Will, I'm going to need a favor from you." Tom said a bit sheepishly.

"..."

"I'm listening." Will finally responded.

"I need you to make me a bomb." Tom stated, slightly whispering, hoping that nobody else heard.

Nobody could've heard though, since he was around 50 feet away from the closest person.

"What for?" Will asked, skeptical and confused.

"Oh!! No reason!" He quickly said, realizing he could've screwed up already. He decided he should

probably tell the truth, maybe it wouldn't be so bad?

"Maybe to sort of to blow up a funeral..." Mumbled Tom, who tried to be quiet about it.

"Oh, I love to blow up funerals! Count me in!" His friend yelled, following with a howl of laughter. "Anyways, can you be here in negative five?" Tom asked, feeling a bit of doubt. What if he couldn't make

it before the funeral ended?

"I can be there before that." Responded Will, before he hanged up on Tom.

Tom put his hands to his sides in confidence, this would definitely be a moment to remember.
