I woke up today with a huge headache, even though this time I didn't drink anything last night. Apparently my own body doesn't like me very much. Or it's out of habit.
— Get up!—my little sister Skylar shouted, throwing at me the book I had put on the desk the day before.
—fuck you, you little plague...—I mumbled, rubbing my eyes with my hands.
She just giggled and left my room.
Life with a 15 year old sucks.
I slowly got up and changed into a gray t-shirt and black jeans. That is, just what the wardrobe will shit.
I grabbed my backpack off the ground and crawled out of the dark room. I could hear my parents arguing from down the hall. I'm fucking begging you, it's 6 in the morning.

I walked into the kitchen and sat down at the table without a word, where a bowl of milk and cereal was already waiting for me.
I dropped my backpack and propped it against the leg of the table. I was eating my breakfast while listening to my parents argue. Just as I thought, some bullshit again.
I see...! The knife was not in the dishwasher. normal.

I looked at my sister who was sitting on the phone next to me. She was rapidly scrolling her finger across the screen as if searching for something.
After staring at her lightly made-up face for a while, I saw tears welling up in her blue eyes.

I stopped eating and sighed, and my sister jumped as soon as we heard the sound of breaking glass from the depths of the house. I immediately jumped up from my seat, knocking over the glass of water standing next to me. I quickly ran to where the noise came from and swung the door open. The smell of flower water greeted me. Those flowers that just lay on the ground, accompanied by broken pieces of glass.

They were still arguing. Their screams pierced my ears. It seemed to me that they didn't even realize that I was standing here, listening to this idiotic and pointless argument.
—Are you all fucked up yet?—I hissed, silencing them both almost immediately.
—Watch your tongue, you ignorant snot!— my father shouted back.
—I'm ignorant? and what kind of parents make a 15-year-old daughter cry with theirs
arguing? Well, not fucking me!— I replied, slamming the door behind me.
They were silent.
—You didn't even know, did you?—I laughed. —But Sky comes to me every night because she's afraid of you. And that's good parenting? When is an older brother more like a father to her, and really him?—I snorted, clenching my fists.

My head was spinning more and more. I felt like I drank a bottle of vodka all at once.

—It's true that you're shitty parents.— I said but didn't go any further as my mother slapped me across the face with her open hand.

For a moment I stood with my face turned sideways to her, trying to recover from the hard blow. My mom was petite but not weak.
I felt blood running down my nose. I quickly wiped it off and looked at her with a smile. They didn't fucking expect this.
—Do you think this will help mom? That I will obey you now?— I asked, blood still pouring down my mouth.
I approached her and she backed away with me. My father, like an ordinary cunt, watched everything from the sidelines.
Suddenly Skylar entered the room and I immediately turned to her.
—Steven?—she asked with a slightly trembling voice.
—I'm coming. Wait in front of the house.-1 I said.
she left.

I turned my gaze to my mother and stared into the woman's eyes for a few seconds. I'm sure she doesn't see the same person in me as before.
I walked away from her and as soon as I opened the door, I heard from behind me-
—Where has my little boy gone?—she said in a slightly broken voice.
after a moment of silence I replied.-
—disappeared when your argumenta appeared. —I started and turned to them. — I don't want Skylar to be the same.— I finished and walked out, slamming the door behind me.

My sister was waiting for me at the front door, and I quickly grabbed my backpack and we left the house.

20 minutes later, at school

Skylar on the way gave me tissues with which I wiped my nose and mouth. I threw it away somewhere, but it doesn't matter.

We entered the school and I was immediately taken in by Michael, my best friend.
—Dude, why didn't you text me yesterday? We were supposed to play together.—he said without taking his hand off my shoulder.
—I'm sorry, I had to lie down with Skylar. My parents were arguing again.— I replied, rubbing my eyes with my wrists again.
— I see. And your face is?— he asked, turning my face with his hand, showing his red cheek.
—It's nothing,—I said after a moment, throwing his hand away.
He quickly adjusted his curly black hair and coughed.
—Can we just go to class?—I asked, turning him towards the corridor.
We walked for a while, finally reaching a practically empty classroom.
My friend Peggie was sitting in the last bench by the window. She was reading a book that had not left her eyes for several days.
Miles sat in the other corner of the classroom, playing with his hands. He was rather shy, so I didn't expect him to talk to us at all, even though the three of us had been smoking weed all summer.

We sat next to each other in the last bench in the middle row. I felt my head throbbing with pain, and I had strange green spots in front of my eyes. Every now and then I rubbed my eyes which were burning me completely.
—Michael?—I said, turning to him.
—Yes? —he replied, staring his big brown eyes into mine.
—Do you have any headache pills?—I asked.
—I do.— Peggie said, coming up from my side.
She pulled a box of Telynol out of her pocket. I immediately snatched them from her hand and took two at a time, washing them down with water that I had placed on the desk earlier.
—Calm down boy, these pills won't run awat from you.—Miles laughed as he approached us curiously.
Everyone was talking for a while, and I was trying to focus on self-inflicted headache. At one point it started to hurt so much that I had to go to the bathroom.

I barely got up and crawled to the bathroom. Peggy had offered to come with me, so now her smooth pale hands rested against my chest as we headed for the bathroom.
—You know, I had a headache today too. Funny coincidence.— She chuckled as she opened the door for me.

We walked into the bathroom and she leaned against the wall next to me. I quickly went to the sink and splashed cold water on my face a few times, but it only got worse after that.
I'm starting to feel stuffy. I heard my parents arguing somewhere, but they weren't here, they couldn't be here.
I heard Peggy's voice as if from underwater. She was talking to me, her hands squeezing my shoulders.
I breathed faster and faster, repeating the same mantra under my breath.
Suddenly the voices started to overlap, getting louder and louder. I clenched my fists on the sink.
—Shut up!—I screamed with all my might, lifting my head straight to the mirror.
After a good few seconds, I put my head down again, breathing hard. Peggy's hands were no longer holding me.
I looked at myself in the mirror.
oh fuck.
my eyes turned bright green.
I quickly turned to Peggy, who was sitting against the wall with a terrified look.
I noticed that all the mirrors around me were smashed to pieces and the cabins were open.
—What the fuck...—she mumbled as she got up from the ground.
I stared at her, just as terrified.

As soon as she came to me, I placed my hand on her cleavage, gently pushing her away from me.
She looked down at my hand and took it in her grip.
—Take this hand or I'll rip it off.—she threatened, her eyes glowing red.
I quickly removed my hand from her body and slightly moved away from her.
—You too...— I said quietly.
she didn't know what I meant at first, but she quickly looked at herself in the mirror next to her and screamed out loud in horror.
Suddenly, the others burst into the bathroom, almost freezing in place at the sight of us.
