3rd Story: Fairy rivalry

It's Summer! Finally. You and a few of your colleagues gym leaders were waiting for this season impatiently but not for nothing ..you all were going in vacation! So you said see you later to Galar and a big hello to Paldea.

Both feet on the Paldean floor, you quickly left your things at the hotel to  enjoy your deserved holidays the longest time possible. It's hot, the sun is shining and even if you just arrived,you already love this Region.

As you ran out of the hotel,you ran into a young man but it wasn't anyone..it was Bede, the fairy gym leader but also and mostly your rival.

Y/n: O-oh sorry I didn't see you!

You looked at the fairy boy with a lot of excitement in your eyes.. almost too much but it was only natural for you.. after all you don't have the chance to go in vacation very often.

Bede sighed and looked at you, even if you two already knew each other for over a year now it seems like he's still not used to your overflowing energy.

Bede: Watch where you're going and how could you not see me, the great Bede?..and could you please stop with this irritating look...?

Bede was just as lovely as usual.. which wasn't surprising..

Y/n: hey, am I not allowed to be exited? It's a region i absolutely don't know anything about! So much to learn, so many new Pokémons to catch and nice trainers to meet! And-

The young man stopped you before you could say another word.

Bede: You really thought i would care about your saying? Plus none of the people around here deserve my time so I don't see why i should get interested in any of your words.

He said in his usual arrogant tone.. which was both annoying and interesting..but knowing him you knew it was a waste of time trying to prove him wrong..

After a few days, you had already catch the regional Pokémons of Paldea ..as a champion you were pretty good at this after all.. and as you were visiting the North of the region..you bumped into someone..you should be used to it by now..

???: H-HEY! How dare you run into me like this ,you.. peasant!

Hearing this arrogant tone..you thought you were in front of Bede for a second but weirdly it wasn't his voice. You looked at the young boy and stayed stunned for a second.. This boy had exactly the same vibe as your fairyish colleague but more.. distinguish?

???: I'm talking to you ,you know?! Who do you think you are ignoring me like this.. don't you have any manners?!

You putted you mind back in place and finally answered.

Y/n: Sorry,you just remind me of someone.. I'm Y/n ,the champion of Gal-

???: I couldn't care less about your identity..I , the amazing Ortega, have way more important things to do than talking to someone like... you.. Hmpf!

The boy ..Ortega walked away, taping his cane on the floor like some sort of aristocrat. Well seems like you have a talent for getting lightning of those fairy boys..

After this unexpected encounter you weirdly had the occasion of running into Ortega many many times.. almost too much as you noticed he now was often watching you from afar.. which seemed to annoy your rival.

Bede: Tss..

You heard Bede mumble as he looked at Ortega.

Y/n: What is it ,Bede??

You asked as you noticed that Bede seemed rather..jealous ?

Bede: Look at this hidious freak..pink doesn't even suit him well-

Y/n: I think you two look a lot alike actually-..

???: EXCUSE ME??

You heard a familiar voice scream from the other side of the room..it was Ortega!

Ortega: How DARE you compare me to this..this Commoner !

He said,red of anger..

Bede: ..what did you just say?!

Bede really seemed angry .. which was surprising since he usually contains his anger pretty well..

The two fairy boys then started picking on eachother with insults and comments more arrogant and ridiculous as they continued.. After a little while both of them decided to prove themselves on the ground by starting a Pokémon battle and after a few minutes... your rival remained the winner! You weren't surprised, after all he was indeed a very good Pokémon trainer..

Ortega: T-that is not fair.. how did i lose against..HIM?? I..YOU WILL HEAR ABOUT ME AGAIN..HMPF!!

The young boy said as he stormed off  of the room..

Your rival then turned around and looked at you with a proud look on his face..he seemed to have enjoyed this battle..and especially winning it in fair terms.

Y/n: Good job, Bede! Your techniques inproved i see!

You said with a smile as the fairyboy immediately turned red..he crossed his arms and looked away.

Bede: I-It was only natural for me to win.. don't praise me like if it was a feat ..but I guess i appreciate you noticing my hard work's results..

He said finally looking at you still red..he then grabbed your hand and said

Bede: Now let's go before he comes back..and please..please, don't ever approach this childish boy again or I swear I will have to destroy him again..
