The first week of my new college semester this year has started. It feels really weird to be back in campus after the long break. I need to stay in my car for a while before bracing myself to walk inside the building and facing the crowds i tends to avoid before. After i finally gained my courage to get out of my car, during my stroll to the class, i swear i can feel a lot of people were setting their eyes on me and i had to glimpse at my reflections several times in the mirror to make sure i don't look ridiculous. I'm trying to ignore them and keep telling myself that maybe it was just my social anxiety acting up once again. As i arrived to the class, i immediately take the farthest seats away from another students and try to reads up the class syllabus before the Professor came.
"Hey, are you Alana Marquez?" I got startled by a sudden voice coming from a seat besides me. It was Luna and her another popular friends that was in the same class with me since the first semester. I never thought she will talk to me again after our first encounter from the last semester.
I nods, "Did i do something?"
"What? Why would you think like that?" One of the girl laughs at me. "Come, sit with us!"
I was about to decline their offers but Luna is the one who drags me up from my seat, so i had no choice but to follow their group to sits together in one line. I have no idea what are they plotting against me, but i wish it won't be anything bad since we're all are practically adults now.
"So, you're the mysterious girl everyone talks about everywhere." The girl beside me shoot me with that statement straight away. "You're pretty cool, you know? Please give us the tips."
"What do you mean?" I was confused by her words. It's like they knew something i haven't discover.
"I can see why you're trying to stay lowkey tho," Luna winks at me. "It was all over the internet. If i were you, i would do the same."
"Wait... i don't understand."
Luna roll her eyes at me before she took her phone from her shoulder bag and show me a news article screenshots that she got from her friends groupchat.
