Jungwoo pt.2

Just as you opened your eyes you saw Sung-ho sitting near the locker with a busted lip. "Looks like you aren't a man either." You heard someone's angry voice and you looked at the source of it. And you were more than shocked to see the least expected person there, Kim Jungwoo.

"You think hitting a woman makes you a man huh? Fight with someone your own size you bastard" Jungwoo said voice deep and scary. Sung-ho scoffed and stood up. He started dusting his clothes and said "now they don't want equality?" Jungwoo held his neck just like Sung-ho held yours and just like you Sung-ho struggled to break free too.

"They want equal respect, they want equal opportunities not this. You know very well you aren't illiterate. Or are you?" Jungwoo's voice became deeper.
Sung-ho was still struggling in Jungwoo's arms in the hallway filled with people. But nobody dared to utter a single word. A soft sob left your mouth and finally Jungwoo looked at you. His death stare turned into a soft one as his eyes met your teary ones. He quickly left Sung-ho after pushing him on the locker for the last time.

He walked near you and quickly took off his jacket as he put it on your shoulders and helped you stand up. You couldn't talk as your sobs got a bit louder at his sudden soft touches. He looked around to glare at people who were whispering anything about you. He held your shoulder sideways and started walking with you.

You guys sat on the grass near a lake as the sun was setting. Nobody said a word until you decided to break the ice "thank you." "Does it hurt badly?" He asked looking at your side and you shook your head as a no looking down at your lap. "This was the first time you had a fight and it's all because of me. I'm sorry" you whispered.

"So you think I should've stayed still and watched him beat you?" He said and you hesitantly shook your head finally looking at him. "But now because of me you're in trouble" you said voice still low. "I'm a taekwondo black belt" he tried to make a frat boy face and finally you chuckled. And his facial expressions changed in a blink. He smiled softly and you were mesmerized. Ke kept making silly jokes to lighten your mood more.

"You're pretty" he blurted out suddenly and your eyes went big. "That's a bad joke yk" you said rolling your eyes. "I'm not joking. You are actually gorgeous y/n" he said voice serious. "Woah that was unexpected" you tried to avoid his eyes. "Why? You can't be pretty?" He said trying to find your eyes. "You're the second person that thinks I can be pretty after my bestie" you said laughing.

"You are pretty. Why do you have doubts? Why are you so insecure about your looks?" He asked brows frowned. You laughed and said "I mean look at me." "I am" he said and you lost every word. "I am looking at the prettiest person I ever met after my mom and I can proudly say I fell for her" he said and you whipped your head to look at him.

"Kim Jungwoo you're joking too much today" you said chuckling awkwardly. "Y/n I'll ask just two questions. Answer me properly okay?" He said and you nodded a yes again trying to avoid his eyes.
"Do you like me? Not as a friend but as a man. Cause I do. I like you as a woman. Do you feel the same?" He asked. You were shocked. How is he so straightforward? How is he so confident? You can never relate.

You looked into his curious eyes that were literally screaming 'answer me'. "I do. I like you since a long time" you said voice soft as your cheeks got red in seconds. He smirked at your answer. Woah Kim Jungwoo has a lot of secrets huh? "Thank god" he said smiling. You just chuckled not knowing what to say next. But then you remembered what he said so you turned your head to look at him. And he was already looking at you. You internally gasped at his intense stare. "Wha-what was you-your second ques-question?" You mentally slapped yourself from stuttering.

"I was waiting for you to ask me that" he paused as he came near your face and whispered "can I kiss you?" Your heart just dropped, you could feel the whole zoo in your stomach as you whispered a 'yes' which didn't even come out from your mouth as you felt like you lost your voice. He didn't waste a second after your approval and softly pressed his lips on yours. His lips were as soft as it looked. You could taste his sweet cherry lipbalm as he deepened the kiss a little and softly cupped your face and you held your pants tight over your thighs. So that's why they said the first kiss feels magical. It was indeed.

He parted away when you both ran out of breath. You both softly chuckled as you looked at each other. Both of you had a red face, lips glossy and plump. He softly lay down on the grass and you did too. You both went silent as you loved being in each other's presence.

"Can I ask you something a bit personal?" You broke the silence and he hummed. "You don't look like the guy who likes sports and here you have black belt in taekwondo and just a few hours ago you beat the shit out of the men's basketball team's captain" you said laughing at the memory and he did too.

He stopped laughing and said "well my mom loves music and I got that from mom. But my dad always wanted me to act like a man and play sports, be tough, not cry even if it's hurting me etc etc. But my mom was always so against it. Their thoughts were always so different from each other. But they came to an agreement that I'll do both. So my dad made me join taekwondo while my mom taught me how to sing and play piano. After they got divorced I could follow my dreams without my dad looking disappointed. Yk I always thought about how I'll use my taekwondo skills but I guess I found it now." You both laughed at the last sentence.

You were looking at each other as the laughter died down. "Y/n just remember one thing just don't look at yourself through the eyes that hate you look at yourself through the eyes that love you" he said and your heart skipped a beat. "Stop you literally talk like some drama male lead" you said and he lifted his body to turn and look at you. "So see yourself through my eyes" he said and leaned down to kiss you again.
