Derek opened the door into the Wendy's, the smell of fries and Baconators fulfilling his senses. He was meeting Pastey there for a date. Wendy's? Of all places? Derek thought. Pastey waved from a nearby table. Oh, Pastey.. Derek thought, sitting down next to him and giving him a kiss on the cheek.
[Dereks POV]
I looked into Pasteys beautiful green eyes while eating my Baconator, I couldn't believe I was finally going out with who seemed like the most handsome, funny, amazing boy ever..
"Babe? You good?" Pastey said, snapping me out of my trance. "Sorry, I was just thinking about how beautiful you are.." I said in a playful tone. Pastey chuckled, taking a fry and eating it.
"Say, after this would you like to-" Pastey got cut-off by the door opening, and you wouldn't believe who was standing there.
My ex, Gerber.
[Pastey's POV]
I couldn't believe my eyes. Gerber!? What was he doing here!? I thought to myself, my head filled with questions. Derek side-eyes Gerber as he ordered his food. "Yep, of course he'd get the spicy nuggets.." Derek mumbled to himself. I put my hand on his shoulder. "Derek, baby.. look at me." I said. He looked up at me. "It's going to be okay. As long as we ignore him, we'll be fine. And if you're uncomfortable, we can leave."
[Dereks POV]
"B-But.. what if he sees us!?" I said, panicking. Pastey kept reassuring me that everything would be fine. I calmed down a bit after that. His voice is so soothing... and those words of encouragement...
We drove home after finishing our food. I buckled my seatbelt as Pastey drove us home.
*rustle*
I looked back in the rearview mirror. "Did you hear something?" I asked Pastey. "Nope." he said nonchalantly. "I didn't hear anything."
"Hmmm..." I looked back suspiciously.
I swore I heard something...
