The air was humid, with a cool ocean breeze swirling through. My skin was heating up, instructing me to turn over.
"FLIP!"
Our three bodies flipped over in sync to laying on our stomachs... we were pretty good at this.
If you can be good at tanning!
"Omg, when we have a sleepover next, we have to try the Kylie Jenner lip challenge!" Ashlee giggled, pointing at her magazine.
"No!" Sam and I argued.
"Have you seen those people who do it and have to get surgery to fix their lips? Not gonna happen!" I added.
"That's not gonna happen to us!" She pleaded.
"Would you like a big ass bruise surrounding your lips, for everyone to see?" Sam rolled her eyes.
"No..." Ashlee sighed, flicking over the page.
I smiled and returned to reading about the top 10 healthy snacks, yum!
Just as I started to enjoy the warmth on my back, a shadow appeared over me and blocked my sunlight. I furrowed my brows and turned my head towards the direction of the shadow.
His eyes sparkled a beautiful rich blue.
His hair ruffled with the wind.
His jawline was chiseled and defined. My mouth dropped open.
The only possible thing that could come out of my mouth was: oh my god, he is so hot.
But I couldn't say that, how embarrassing!
My checks instantly flushed red at this thought and I stopped staring, looking down at my magazine.
Ashlee squirmed and gave Sam the eyes of excitement. Sam just smirked and turned over to look at him.
"Yes, what would you like?" She asked, titling her head.
"Hmmm, I don't know." He raised his eyebrows.
I gulped, his eyebrows were better than mine.
"You don't know?" Sam shifted her head in confusion.
"All I know is that I want your body on mine. And your lips on my lips," he bit his lip, looking Sam up and down.
My eyes popped out of my sockets.
I'm pretty sure Ashlee's brain rocketed out of her head.
Who is this guy?
Sam narrowed her eyes at him and then he dived on her, cupping her face in his hands and leaning in for a kiss.
It all happened too quickly, I was stunned.
Again, who is this guy?!
"Get off me you ugly piece of crap!" Sam broke free of his grip and shoved him backwards on to the sand. She stood up and leaned over him. Her eyes cut through his, and her fists tightened.
"You're messing with the wrong girl," she spat. But he didn't looked scared, he looked slightly amused.
As she went to lay back down, it all happened too quickly again and as soon as my brain registered what was going on, his lips were pressed against mine.
HIS lips were pressed against MY lips.
I didn't know what to do. I'd never kissed a guy before.
And for it to be a stranger!
I pushed him off, wiping my lips, realising we had been kissing for longer then we should have. And then Sam's protective side had taken over as she punched the side of his head and knocked him out.
My brain was about to explode.
I HAD JUST HAD MY FIRST KISS.
WITH A STRANGER.
WHO HAD TRIED TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF MY BEST FRIEND.
What the heck just happened.
I shot a look over at Ashlee, who looked like she was about to pass out. And then I looked over at Sam who was stomping off into the water. I scrambled up onto my feet and raced down to Samantha. She was splashing her face with water and washing her hands.
I just stood beside her, staring. She didn't say anything.
I fluttered my eyelids and kept staring, waiting for her to say something. She looked up and stopped what she was doing.
"What?"
"What?" I repeated.
"What?"
"Him. That. You. Him. Kiss. Me. Punch. W-what the heck!" I stuttered, pointing and moving my hands at each word.
"Talk properly please," she mocked as she started to walk out of the water. I rolled my eyes and quickly caught up to her.
"I have no idea what just happened. And what happens now?"
"We pack up and leave? The suns going in anyway," she replied so easily.
"What do you mean we pack up and leave?!" I asked, shocked.
"I mean, we pack up and leave. You know using your hands and legs."
"Stop being ignorant! This random guy just tried to hook up with you, but you denied him so he kissed me instead, and then you knocked him out!" I exclaimed, using my hands to emphasise my point.
"So? Random guys have tried to make out with me before. You've kissed a boy before, haven't you, and he'll wake up in a few hours and be fine!" She smiled, stuffing her magazine in her bag.
I just stood there, astonished.
No, I haven't kissed a boy before.
Ashlee came over and patted my back. "You'll be fine! Just another story to tell the kids!" She laughed at herself and began to pack up her stuff too.
I couldn't believe how calm they were being. Did they witness the same thing I did?
I took a deep breath, and then slung my towel over my shoulder.
Wait, a minute.
I had just kissed a guy. And not any guy.
A really hot guy.
A guy that kisses all the popular girls at parties, and is the heart throb at school. A guy who fixes his hair every two seconds, with his peaking biceps. A guy who walks past a group of girls who flutter their eyelids and argue that 'he looked at me, not you!"
A guy that wouldn't kiss me.
Who is this person!
Even though he had just taken advantage of us, I couldn't stop thinking about him. I should be angry, but I'm not. I should be sticking up for my friend, but I can't. All I can think about are his lips locked on to mine, and his hands grasping my waist.
I think this is very bad, very bad.
But he is perfect!
