(Ae-Cha's POV)
~A week later~
As I stood in the kitchen and began to wash the rice for dinner, I sighed as I reminisced about the night that I stayed over at Yoongi's when he was sick. Even though it had only been a week since then, it still felt as though it had happened last night. The memories flooded back and played through my mind like a movie--Yoongi letting me sleep in his bed, the cute things he said in his sleep and just seeing another side of him. It was intriguing to say the least. The many sides of Min Yoongi were so different, it was hard to believe he was the same guy who bullied me.
I also found myself feeling attracted to him, with that invisible thread forcefully pulling us closer together. I just couldn't let him know that. Plus, he'd probably think I'm crazy for liking him anyway.
All of a sudden, in the middle of washing the rice, I dropped the bowl down into the sink. The banging sound made my dad and Ji-Hoon both jump briefly and then turn and look at me. Thankfully, somehow the rice stayed in the bowl.
"Everything okay, cherubim?" My dad asked.
"Mhm,"
"Ae-Cha's blushing dad." Ji-Hoon teasingly pointed out. "She's probably thinking about Feeeeeelix,"
"Oh shut up Ji-Hoon. I'm over Felix for Pete's sake alright." I replied as I started to rinse the rice again. "So don't bring him up anymore, got it?"
"Now, now you two." My dad chuckled. Within seconds afterwards, my dad and Ji-Hoon resumed watching whatever game show that had their full attention. From the sound of it, it sounded like the most recent season of Run For The Money that was recently put on Netflix.
Then, there was a sudden knock at the door. Without even realizing it, my dad had gotten up out of his chair and answered the door.
"Is Ae-Cha home?" I heard Yoongi ask while he stood in the doorway. My dad was standing in front of Yoongi and, upon hearing a guy ask for my name, Ji-Hoon jumped up from the couch and stood next to my dad. They were both standing in the doorway with their arms folded across their chests, as if they were trying to play tough. I could only imagine the "scary" glares that my dad and Ji-Hoon were giving Yoongi. The thought of it made me laugh quietly as I continued watching from the kitchen.
"She might be home. She might not be home. What's it to you, anyway?" Ji-Hoon said, as he tried to act tough.
There was no response. The three of them resumed staring at each other in the doorway.
"That depends," my dad said firmly to break the awkward silence. "Who are you to my little cherubim, hm? Are you a friend? A boyfriend? A secret admirer?"
Then, it quickly dawned on me that my dad hadn't actually met Yoongi in person. My dad was working a late shift the day that Yoongi brought me home from school and didn't get home until late. Ji-Hoon had met Yoongi that day when he and Na-Bi came home from school. However, knowing Ji-Hoon, he probably didn't remember much since he was glued to his phone once he got home.
"I...um...well..." I could hear the nervousness in Yoongi's voice. I chuckled at the idea that Yoongi felt intimidated by my dad. "See the thing is, Mr. Kwon...I'm--"
Then, all of a sudden, I heard Na-Bi's little footsteps running quickly. She darted through the living room and shoved her way in between my dad and Ji-Hoon. They stepped aside and I could now see Yoongi standing in the doorway. He was wearing black skinny jeans, along with a white tshirt and charcoal gray jacket. I noticed he was also wearing a gold chain necklace that had different layers to it; with the longest part of it resting just below his chest.
