Chapter 19: Set Myself Free

(Yoongi's POV)

Yoongi, what has she done to you? I asked myself as I pondered what it was about Ae-Cha that was softening my heart I had worked so hard to guard. You're like a lost puppy trying to find his owner. Anywhere she goes, you want to be there. But then...if she's there....so is Jungkook.

"Hey, Yoongi. You wanna go camping with all of us this weekend?" Namjoon asked.

"Hmm..." I muttered as I watched Jungkook conversing with Ae-Cha. I could feel myself growing jealous, wishing that it was me she was talking to instead. As I saw her smile at Jungkook, I tuned out Namjoon and the others completely. I was completely unaware of the fact that they had called out my name multiple times. All I could focus on was Ae-Cha...and nothing else.

"YOONGI HYUNG!" Taehyung yelled deeply as he slammed his hand down on the table. In that split second everyone in the dining hall turned and looked at us, even Jungkook and Ae-Cha did as well. Instead of glaring at Taehyung and yanking him down towards me by the collar of his shirt, I just sighed heavily and said nothing. After a few minutes, the conversations around us resumed without issue.

"Yoongi, what's going on with you?" Jin chuckled. "Did Jungkook actually knock some sense into that thick skull of yours?"

"Shut up, Jin." I replied. "Sorry Namjoon, what was your question? I was a bit distracted."

"Obviously--you haven't said a word since Jungkook and Ae-Cha walked in here." Namjoon said as gazed over at the two of them over my shoulder. Then, as he looked back at me, he raised an eyebrow as a sly smirk came across his face. "What if we can get Ae-Cha to come with us?"

Inside of my chest, my heart started to pound. I didn't want to lead on like I was catching feelings for her. The others had no idea that I even took her out on a date; I kept that little secret to myself.

"What are you even talking about?" I asked in an annoyed tone as I furrowed eyebrows.

"If we go camping this weekend jackass," Namjoon said sternly. "Do you wanna go or not?"

"Tch," I muttered as I glared at him, scoffing at his question. Then, Namjoon leaned across the table towards me, motioning me to lean in closer to him. The others were too distracted in their own conversation to pay much mind to anything else.

"Yoongi, I saw the way you were looking at Ae-Cha. You like her don't you?" Namjoon whispered with a sly smirk on his face.

I rolled my eyes at his inquisition, trying to keep my feelings concealed.

"Yoongi, I'm not stupid; I saw the look in your eyes. You can deny it all you want, but I know you better than you think." Namjoon said in serious tone. "Now, if we can convince Ae-Cha to go camping with all of us, will you go?"

"Fine," I grumbled. "I'll go on this camping trip... but what about the te--"

"Jungkook! Ae-Cha! Come over here!" Namjoon yelled across the dining hall. I laid my head down on the table, not daring to look at Ae-Cha as the two of them walked over towards us.

"Hey Joonie!" I heard Jungkook say cheerily as he high-fived Namjoon.

"Do you two want to go camping with us this weekend? We're all going, we even convinced Old Man Yoongi to go along too." Namjoon chuckled as he playfully shook my shoulder. I slowly raised my head up and narrowed my eyes at Jungkook and Ae-Cha who were both staring down at me. I slowly mustered up enough courage to give them a peace sign and then plopped my head back down onto the table.
