ALARM
(sounds like those emergency alarms)
Ava : Is that normal around here?
Cora : Its so not
Mia : Then what is it about?
"HELLO! Our awaited guest has arrived, so we start the games NOW."
Jayden : Awaited guest? Game? What's all this about?
"You may listen carefully, the game is called 'SILENCE IS FUN' I mean isn't it?The rules are well very simple, there is only one rule and that is no one shall make more than 45 decibels of sound. Simple? Well for your reference a normal human being makes about that much sound while whispering. Any Questions?"
Brooklyn : W-Well what happens when u exceed the amount?
"Now that, u will see, in a short amount. Alan I know u have a watch, tomorrow morning at 8 the game begins, and have fun!" Laughs hysterically!
Alan : The time is 1:58 am.
Everleigh : Guys I don't think I'm sleeping tonight and how r we gonna make no noise, it's practically impossible!
A bird flies past and makes noise, suddenly it drops down dead.
"That's what's gonna happen, and by the way the game ends tomorrow at 8. Good luck!"
Brooklyn : W-We're gonna dieeee!
Brooklyn starts crying. But then Cora makes up a plan, quite a brilliant one.
Cora : Guys! I have a plan! Why don't we just keep quiet and do as nothing as possible today?
Ava : It's a nice plan but what about food and water?
Mia : Yeah What about those?
Alan : Well we have some food and a decent amount of water which was already here when we came.
Cora : So do you guys agree? Cause I don't want that to be one of us tomorrow.
Cora says pointing at the dead bird. Brooklyn along with the others agree.
Everleigh : Well what do we do now? I honestly won't get any sleep but I feel like I should.
Brooklyn : Your right me too because what if we fall asleep? I mean Jay has some snoring problems.
Jayden : Hey! No, I don't.
Alan : Calm down man, and you kinda do.
Mia : Then it's agreed we will sleep for the day, but can one of you keep an alarm so we can wake up before the specific time? So we can do stuff like eating?
Alan : uh sure, I do have an alarm on my watch ill make sure we wake up.
Cora : Thanks, Alan.
They all go to sleep and wake up exactly one hour before IT begins.
Alan : Guyss wake up!! We have 1 hour before the game starts!
Jayden : Give me a break, I wanna sleep just 5 more minutes
(Jay realizes what Alan said n woke up immediately) Wait???? Only 1 hour come onnn
Ava : What's wrong with there only being 1 hour we can finish up the morning routine before the games start.
Jayden : Ugh fine. I guess you're right.
Cora : C'mon let's not waste time, use the bathroom if u want to and come back here for the food.
They finish off everything exactly at 8 O'clock. Then Alan signals to them that it's time.
Mia : (Whispers) Hey guys is it alright if I use the washroom now?
Ava : (Whispers) Shhh, and cant u like hold it in sis, please?
Mia : (Whispers) I mean ill try.
Cora : (Whispers) Stop talking and Mia please do try to.
Time passes by quickly and it's already dark, everyone except Mia fell asleep. She was lost in her own thoughts when suddenly something jumps in front of her, and she almost screams when Alan puts his hand over her mouth. To their amazement, it was just a squirrel.
Alan : (Whispers) Hey you alright?
Mia : (Whispers) I mean other than the fact I was almost dead yeah I'm alright.
Alan : (Whispers) Glad to hear that, and don't try to stay awake you should sleep.
Mia : (Whispers) Ok ill try and thank you for saving me.
Alan : (Whispers) Your welcome, good night.
Mia : (Whispers) You too.
!!!ALARM!!!
Jayden : Oh man I was sleeping so well, wait what's the time?
Cora : (Whispers) Shh maybe it's not time yet.
Alan : Actually it is and I think that's what the alarms are for.
"That's right Alan, congrats to all of you. Everyone has survived the game, but I'm sure you won't in the next one. Which will be introduced shortly. Have fun!!!"
Brooklyn : What there's more of these games?
Everleigh : Yeah I guess, but honestly I feel like any other game is better than this one.
Ava : I don't know about that but yeah.
Cora : Guys let's be prepared for the next game.
And just like that everyone goes on with their lives, for the day. Waiting for the next game, not knowing that what's ahead is gonna be ruthless.
