I woke up the next morning with a new found confidence. Today I was going to figure out my feelings for Liam. Now don't get me wrong he's a great guy and not to mention gorgeous but there's just nothing there anymore, you know? There's no spark, no love, not even a common interest, were just two individuals pretending to have fun at the annual sports dinner, or the winter dance. The first two years were fun, we were two children in silly love but now he's just my best friend. But then again I don't want to be alone, that was never the plan. I want to feel safe, safe and sound as the song goes. "Amber breakfast is ready!" Kaylee yelled to me downstairs, I need to stop talking to myself... Well in my head. They do say it's healthy for you though, to 'stimulate your mind.' Damn there I go again. Stop it Amber go get some breakfast. "Mhm it smells good what's you make Kayles?" The aroma was wonderful, I could smell bacon and a sweet smell... Almost like." You made chocolate chip pancakes! I love you!" I scream at her ignoring her gesture for a hug and grabbing one. "We'll I love you to but a nice thank you would be appreciated" she says grinning from ear to ear, she can't act mad. She's such a bad liar, always has been. "Thank you amazing best friend" I mumble while stuffing my face with pancake wrapped in bacon. "Your such a pig I have no clue why Liam is dating you" she looked at me like she said something wrong, which she didnt. Yesterday that would've bothered me but today is different. It's gonna be a good day I feel. "Oh well maybe he'll change my mind after dinner tonight." I start laughing hysterically as she spit up her milk "what! I didn't even know your talking to him.. Does that mean your not.. You know.. Upset anymore" *pang* "ouch that hurt, I mean of course I'm still upset and mourning, just mourning in a different way. No more depressed wont talk to anyone Amber." I put her dishes away since I didn't use any and she just nods her head. "So your gonna sit with them at lunch?" She emphasized the them, meaning my ex friends, remember them? The ones that were fake I told you about. I sighed "no I'm done with fake people, just you and me kale" I smirked looking up to see her face red, she was fuming. See a while back when she used to be friends with them(as well call my ex friends) well one day I started calling her kale as in the vegetable and after they stopped being friends they tormented her with it, I of course apologized since I was all my fault but now it's just a little joke between us. "Your so mean" she says with a pout "oh but you still love me" she just grins and saunters out of the room "come on or well be late for school!" Ugh I hate school. It's one of the worst required things in the world I believe, except for periods they are the absolute WORST. "Stop daydreaming and get in my car stupid" Kaylee says throwing open the door and putting her PINK bag on her back, it was of course black, she always wore black today she had on black jeans with a Maroon shirt and combat boots, it's just the way she is. Me on the other hand I'm more of a preppy girl, I was wearing a turquoise skirt, black tank top and black suede heels. Now that I'm thinking of it I've never seen her in a pair of heels.. The ride to the school was short, sadly. But when I got there we walked to our lockers, which were conveniently placed next to each others, but there was a guy standing in front of mine. He was wearing dark was skinny jeans, a ramones shirt and black vans. He had dark brown hair which was short with that little twirl/frohawk thing in front and gorgeous green eyes. When I saw him I was like damn he's fine. "Close your mouth sweetheart you don't wanna catch flies" and my dream was ruined, this guy was an ass. What I regretted to mention was the reason he was standing by my locker was to talk to Megan, my ex friend who was, yes cliche I know, but a blonde bimbo. The whole time he was staring at her boobs until he said that comment of course. "Whatever, your in front of my locker.. So move?" I stutter out. Meanwhile Kaylee was standing there with an amused expression acrossed her face, it wasn't until I looked at her that this guy noticed her "oh hey Kay" he nodded towards her "hey Derek" she blushed looking up, so this was the famous Derek she was always swooning about. I didn't like the look of this, for all I knew he was going to sweep her off her feet and drop her back down.. I mean it's just my vibe from him but still- " hello" he said waving his hand in front of my face "what?" I snap looking up at him, did I mention he was probably 6'2" and I'm only 5'4". "Your in my way" I look around and sure enough the hall way was already crowded and I was indeed in his way "oh sorry" I mutter before moving "all good sweetheart as long as we meet again" he proceeds to wink at me and walks away "that guy is.. " "hot, amazing. A GOD" Kaylee insists shaking my arms to emphasize her point. " I was going to say an asshole but okay" she just shakes her head and we get our books "good thing you said that other wise Liam would-" but she was interrupted by Liam walking in, he wrapped his arms around my back pulling me close "what would I do?" I stifle a laugh and sigh into his arms "nothing she's just exaggerating about this guy she likes " he nuzzles his face into my neck "sounds entertaining but babe I really missed you, how you holding up?" I turned around to look at him and I could see real concern and love in his eyes "I'm okay sorry I ignored you I just-" "no it's alright I understand, as long as your okay I'm okay" he kissed my nose an I rest my head on his chest "I miss this, and I don't mean recently. It's been a while since you held me like this" Kaylee, probably feeling awkward, slammed her locker to get our attention and waved goodbye and went to class. "I know babe, trust me I've been thinking about everything these past few weeks and I've been such a jerk, all I did was football and there was no time for us. But I'm willing to change cause I love you" I lift my head off his chest and look into his eyes "I love you too" we leant in for a kiss but was Interrupted " we'll that was sweet and all but excuse me" I recognized that voice from earlier and looked over to see Derek bending down by my feet. "Sorry sweetheart, dropped my hall pass" he says standing up as winking at me "what do you need a hall pass for, class hasn't even started?" He looks at me and grins "we'll sweetheart I have my own personal pass so I can leave whenever I want, I also have a copy so any girl can come with me. If you know what I mean" I feel Liam chuckle beside me but I glare at him "what is your story, you know it's disgusting to do... stuff... in the school"I spit out turning towards Liam and pulling his arm to walk away "whatever you say sweetheart but I think you'll find out my story soon enough" and when I turn around to find out what he meant he already left, well this day just got even more confusing and after going to all my classes I was even more confused.
