When Sasuke finally returned to the village after one year, he was a changed man. He had found what he had been seeking, and he was at peace.

Sakura and others were overjoyed to see him.

Sakura hugged him warmly, tears of happiness streaming down her face.

With Sasuke back in the village, Sakura was filled with a sense of excitement and anticipation. She had spent so many years hoping for his return, and now that he was finally here, she felt like all of her dreams were finally within reach.

However, as the days passed, Sakura started to realize that Sasuke was not quite the same person she remembered. He was distant, almost aloof, and seemed to avoid her at every turn. She couldn't help but feel a sense of disappointment and confusion, and she began to wonder if he still saw her as just a friend.

Despite her feelings of uncertainty, Sakura refused to give up hope. She knew that Sasuke had been through a lot, and that it would take time for him to fully reintegrate into society. She decided to give him space and let him come to her when he was ready.

One day, as she was working in the hospital, she was surprised to see Sasuke standing in the doorway, looking as though he was uncertain about something.

Sasuke stood in the doorway, looking at Sakura with a mix of emotions in his eyes. He wanted to tell her the truth, to let her know just how much she meant to him, but the words seemed to get stuck in his throat.

"Sasuke," she said, her voice filled with excitement. "Is everything okay?"

Sasuke hesitated for a moment, then spoke. "Everything is fine, Sakura," he said, his voice quiet and reserved.

Sasuke took a step forward, his eyes never leaving Sakura's. "I just wanted to come by and say thank you," he said, his voice filled with gratitude. "Thank you for helping me when I was lost, and for believing in me when no one else would. You've been a true friend to me, Sakura, and I'll never forget what you've done for me."

Sakura smiled, a tear rolling down her cheek. "You're welcome, Sasuke," she said, her voice full of emotion. "I'm glad I could be there for you. And I'll always be here for you, no matter what."

Sasuke nodded, his own eyes misting over. Then, without another word, he turned and walked away, leaving Sakura to watch as he disappeared into the distance.

As Sasuke walked away, his heart heavy with regret, he couldn't help but think about what could have been. He had always loved Sakura, but he had never been able to tell her the truth. The memories of the time he spent with Sakura flooded his mind, and he realized just how much she had come to mean to him.
