*Third POV*
————
Y/N looked around with boredom as she paced between the numerous trees, wondering why Ground Omega, a place teeming with trees and scarce buildings—things she could easily destroy with a mere sneeze—was chosen for the fight. Yet, she couldn't protest; at least she was finally getting to fight.
Throughout the exam, she hadn't encountered any teacher, although she sensed their nearby presences. The closest was Vlad King, class 1-B's homeroom teacher, perched in a tree, observing her with intensity. She didn't understand his reluctance to attack, but she had some inkling.
Vlad King harbored confusing emotions. Why did the entire hero staff need to confront one girl? Was her strength that formidable? He remembered her performance at the sports festival—her intelligence, strength, and perhaps a touch of ego. He recalled her actions at the USJ too. Yet, he doubted her odds against the Pro Hero staff, which is why he watched from a tree, believing she was unaware of his presence.
But she had been aware of him for quite some time, just as she was of the other two heroes in hiding.
With a sigh of frustration, Y/N ceased her pacing and glanced towards Vlad King's location. She felt his presence shift, marked by discomfort and surprise. Turning fully towards the blood hero, their eyes met, sending an involuntary shiver through him.
The woman with e/c eyes offered a smile, one that was joyful yet sly. In the blink of an eye, she vanished, reappearing moments later behind him. She tapped the back of his neck gently to incapacitate him, preferring to avoid his blood manipulation quirk—not out of fear, but due to the unsettling thought of him controlling her blood internally. Thus, she neutralized him swiftly.
Y/N smiled victoriously at his weary form as he checked on his teammates, then she proceeded towards All Might and Nezu, leaving the three heroes behind. Along the way, she incapacitated the unfortunate heroes one by one. Present Mic's screams echoed in her ears until he too was taken down, albeit by a mere handful of bugs.
"Ah, you've surpassed Eraserhead, Midnight, Vlad King, and the others, just as I predicted," Nezu said, clasping his tiny hands together while seated in his contraption that elevated the diminutive genius.
The black-haired girl grinned once more at the hero and principal, her excitement palpable. Y/N had heard rumors of her strength surpassing All Might's, and she was eager to test that theory, though she was unaware of the extent of her power.
"Great, hey Nezu, after this is over, I'm pretty sure my next allowance is due today."
"Indeed, it will be dispensed to you after class," Nezu responded.
Meanwhile, All Might stood on the sidelines, a bead of sweat forming on his brow. Weren't they supposed to engage in combat?
As All Might focused on the impending battle, he noticed Y/N's intense gaze. 'Where had Nezu gone?' he wondered, scanning the area. Lost in thought, he failed to locate Nezu.
On the other side of the forest, a battered and grimy Nezu lay amidst the ruins of his machine, now irreparable. Unaware that Y/N had handcuffed him, he was fixated on the blow that had destroyed his cherished device. It seemed she had targeted the machine rather than him, a small mercy. But now, how would he regain his height? He lamented internally. Observing Y/N's swift defeat of the professional heroes was truly astonishing. She was indeed special, and such individuals must be safeguarded with appropriate measures. Fortunately, Y/N was adept at managing her power.
"All Might, let's see who truly is the strongest," Y/N declared, stepping toward him. Her eyes sparkled with excitement, and All Might nodded, his curiosity piqued despite anticipating defeat—especially since she had effortlessly vanquished the Nomu that he couldn't even scratch.
All Might's speed was such that the onlookers in the monitor room thought he vanished, but to Y/N, he moved at a normal pace. She effortlessly caught the punch aimed at her stomach. Gazing up at the towering 7'2" hero, she offered a small, slightly sad smile. Was this his utmost speed?
Releasing his fist, Y/N watched as All Might distanced himself to prepare. Moments later, he launched another punch, now empowered by One For All, which quickened his pace. Y/N's smile widened, thinking this might finally test her skills as she evaded his strike. All Might unleashed a barrage of One For All-enhanced attacks, all instinctively dodged by Y/N, who sighed, 'Okay, maybe this won't be a challenge... but it's better than nothing.' The fight was becoming dull. If such strength meant no challenge, she didn't desire it. Her formidable abilities were a curse. Yet, she was powerless to change them.
Lost in thought, Y/N reacted instinctively to All Might's next assault, launching a counterpunch. Realizing the potential lethality, she retracted her fist just in time. However, the force still sent All Might flying back, crashing through trees and leaving a significant indentation in the forest.
Clearly, choosing a forest as the battleground was a mistake. 😑
The skirmish between the teachers and the blackett concluded. Y/N was infuriated with herself for once again ending a fight with a single punch. She inne
