"This is a dangerous game for you." Josie says, turning back to her drink. "Do you know how many humanity switches I've flipped just... like... this..." shw watches the fear flash in Hope's eyes as she snaps her fingers.
"Looks like I was right to play." Hope says her fear replaced by a smirk as she looks at a now all black tight dress dawning Josie. "Didn't work."
"No," Josie drawls. "I didn't expect it to, I just wanted to see the look in your eyes."
Hope scoffs. "You've never been able to read them before."
Josie leans in close, capturing the tribred's gaze before whispering centimeters from her lips. "You sure about that?"
"Gods, I love this woman." Adoni says from Hope's other shoulder.
"Could you save your panting for some place other than directly in my ear?" Hope snaps, whipping her head around to glare at Adoni.
Josie chuckles darkly. ""She always did have a knack for ruining your moments." Josie smiles over Hope's shoulder, looking into the empty space Hope's eyes are boring holes into. "Hi, baby. Are you holding up okay?"
"Can you please tell her I'm fine, and I'll listen whenever she wants to talk to me. All she had to do is call out."
Hope rolls her eyes, "She's fine. Still completely whipped."
Adoni scoffs before lifting her hand and tracing her initials into it, watching as Josie pulls her hand from her glass to see a white letter A. With a soft smile her eyes turn back to their normal brown before Josie blinks it away, "Beautiful, why don't you take a break from vamp babysitting duty? I got her for now."
Adoni sniggers at Hope's look of offense, even though it's mild. "Anything for you, my love." Adoni spells a white rose in front of Josie before fading away,
Josie lets out a dark chuckle spinning the tem between her fingers, "Figures she;d only get me flowers once she;s gone"
"She knew you preferred live plants." Hope defends on instinct. "Now that she's gone, we can have some real fun. I might have to keep you around just for that. She's barely left my side since she died, it's infuriating."
"What even is a no humanity vamps idea of fun? Draining everyone in sight?"
"You'll see. Prove you're useful and I might even let you stick around."
"Oh, I think we both know I'm plenty useful." Josie smirks. "But if I play your game you have to play mine." Her smile turns sweet but her eyes stay black. "It's only fair."
Hope smirks back. "Then let the games begin." She takes Josie's wrist and gently pulls her to the dance floor,
When Adibu pops in to visit the eldest Mikaelson she doesn't miss the chance to have a little fun. "Your wards are down." she teases over Freya's shoulder causing the witch to jump.
"Damnit Adoni, wear a bell."
Adoni tries to bite back her laughter.
"How are they doing?" Davina asks from her place on the couch across the room.
"As expected." Adoni shugs. "Josie picked up that Hope's humanity is flickering right away. She's humoring Hope now but I'm sure she's forming a plan of her own."
"And you're good with this?" Freya asks. "We're basically helping them fall in love."
Adoni waves her away. "They've been in love for years. We're just helping them realize it's mutual. They need each other, and as long as they're okay so am I. I can't move on until they are."
