Chapter 2

Y/N pov

I wake up to Tuk shaking me. "Y/N come on were going swimming!" She yells. I groan as I sit up. "I'll meet you out there, I'll only be a minute" I say to her "ok, but be quick!" She says as she runs out. I slowly get up and get ready.

I slowly walk out of the pod to see the others in the sea. "Took you long enough forest boy!" I hear aonung yell as I roll my eyes. Tsireya hits his head. "Don't say that it's rude!" She says to him as I walk into the water and swim to Neteyam.

"Yo you good?" He says to me "yeah just tired still" I say. "Lo'aks getting on with tsireya" Neteyam says smirking as I see lo'ak talking to her, blushing. I giggle a bit until I see aonung staring at me, he has a really bad staring problem. Me and Neteyam talk for a bit longer until tsireya comes up to us.

"Ok! We wanna teach you all how to ride an ilu now!" She says exitedly. "Let's go in groups. so I'll take lo'ak and Kiri, and aonung will take Neteyam and Y/N" she says as I groan, I don't wanna be taught by him.

I go and stand next to Neteyam, a bit behind him. "Ok, we'll let's get started!" Tsireya says as her lo'ak and Kiri swim away. Leaving us two with Aonung.

He calls for an ilu and two of them spear and swim around him. I smile at the ilu as they swim around. "If you want to live here, you have to ride" he says to us. We both climb onto an ilu each and sit on them, "your doing it wrong" he says to me. "Oh, uhm sorry" I say back as he grabs my hips and pulls me backwards a bit, his hands are so cold that send a shiver down my spine.

He then grabs one of my legs and puts it it the right place, he does the same with the other.

"Make the bond" he says to us as we follow what he says. "You musnt go to fast or you will fall" he says as I see Neteyam swim off into the water, me sat there silent, forward. I think to myself as it shoots off into the water.

I try to hold on as much as I can but it's too fast, it quickly makes a sharp turn underwater as I fly off it, crashing into a rock and passing out underwater.

Aonung pov

I stand there waiting for the two to come back. Neteyam swims back after a bit smiling. "That was sick! We're Y/N?" He asks me as I shrug.

"Dunno, he dove under and I haven't seen him since" I say as Neteyam begins to look worried.

"Wel- well did you see where he went?!" He says worried "I'll go look for him k." I say diving under and begining to swim around.

After a bit i see Y/N unconscious on the sea bed with blood floating upwards. Shit. I think to myself as I swim over to him.

I get to him and pick him up in my arms, he was warm before he rode off and now he's freezing. I swim to the surface and call for an ilu to take us back to Neteyam.

"Oh my Eywa is he ok!?" Neteyam says worried as he looks at Y/N laying in my arms. "I'm not sure but he's got a bad cut on his back" I say back as we swim to the shore.

"Oh no.. uhh. I'll go get help!" Tsireya says as she runs off with Kiri to find someone. After a moment he begins to cough as he wakes up. "Y/N! Oh thank Eywa your ok!" Neteyam says to him as Y/N looks at him.

"Ahh.. what. What happend?" He asks looking at Neteyam.

"Aonung just saved you from drowning" Neteyam answers as Y/N turn to me still holding him. He then turns his face away and tells me to put him down.

We see tsireya and Kiri run back with mother.

"Ok he's going to be fine we just need to do some things. Your going to want to rest for a bit ok Y/N?" She says as he nods. she gets some liquid and dabs it on Y/Ns back, him hissing every time.

"Ok that should be good I need to head back and do something, aonung can you wrap this around him?" Mother says handing be a bandage roll.

"Umm. Ok" I say awkwardly as she leaves. I then walk over to Y/N and kneel down next to him. "Ok I can't do this if your arms are down." I say as he raises his arms silently as I begin to wrap the bandage around his waist.

His waist was tiny, I could probably wrap one of my arms around him and it would cover him. I blush a bit as I try to get the thought out me head, tsireya giggling at me.

"Ok, done" I say as he lowers his arms and stands up. "Thank you" he says silently, not looking up to me.

"I- I should probably go" he stutters as he walks away, Neteyam following him.

"It's ok guys keep practicing" Neteyam says to the sullys as we walk back to the water. I keep my eyes locked on Y/N until I can't see him anymore.

"Ooo, someone's got a crushh." I hear tsireya say to me laughing.

"No I don't skxawng!" I hiss back as she smirks and swims away.
