The sound of wailing stopped the small bickering between the two. Jaerin was first to spot the crying girl in the middle of the small crowd alone, approaching her while trying to not scare the young girl.

"Hello, why are you crying? Are you lost?"

The girl looked up at her, nodding her head as she cautiously reached Jaerin. Jaerin crouched down, adjusting the dolphin plushie so that it doesn't touch the floor which gained the young girl's attention.

"Do you want me to stay with you until your parents come over to bring you home?"

The girl nodded again, eyes still not leaving the plushie and Jaerin took note of that, turning the plushie so that the girl could see properly.

"You like it?"

"Yes," the girl touched the tail of it, smoothing it down before averting her eyes to meet Jaerin's.

"Can I play with it until my parents come?"

"Sure."

Jaerin passed her the toy, guiding her to a bench nearby and helped her sit on it while she caressed the plushie that was on her lap. The young girl noticed the male standing silently beside Jaerin while watching them with a small smile, and tugged Jaerin's sleeves to gain her attention.

"Who's he?"

"Oh, he's my friend, Chenle. What about you?"

"I'm Miyun, I'm five!"
The young girl, now known as Miyun, beamed at her and Jaerin patted her head.

"How about you, pretty unnie?"

"I'm Jaerin," she smiled.

"Is Chenle your boyfriend?"

Miyun tilted her head innocently, waiting for a reply from the two.

Chenle gave her a tight-lipped smile while Jaerin shook her head at the girl, ignoring the fact that she didn't use honorifics to Chenle.

"He's my friend."

"Aww, but you two look like a couple."

Miyun placed the plushie on Jaerin's lap carefully after motioning the older girl to sit beside her, climbing down the bench to tug Chenle's hand. Chenle looked at her quizzingly, only understanding that the girl wanted him to carry her after she opened out her arms.

The boy didn't have a struggle to carry Miyun on one hand since the girl was small and light. He placed the groceries with the plushies together inside the plastic bag he had been carrying around beside Jaerin, sitting down beside the girl after Miyun told him to move the plastic bag to the other side and sit.

Miyun was playing with Chenle's hair, messing it up and smoothing it down repeatedly with the boy securing one arm around the little figure to prevent her from falling backwards. Jaerin scanned around, trying to see if there were any parents looking out for Miyun.

"Jaerin unnie," Miyun called after some time with Jaerin and Chenle chatted softly while waiting. Jaerin turned her head, putting her attention at the little girl. The girl wasn't aware that she was leaning too close to Chenle until her sight was blocked.

A soft surface touched her lips and she fell back a bit at the impact of something bumping into her. A warm hand held onto her arms in instinct and her eyes widened.

Chenle and her kissed. By accident.

The two young adults were stunned in their position, unable to move due to shock. They heard giggles coming from the young girl still in Chenle's arm, trying to muffle the sound coming out from her mouth as she watched them.

Chenle pulled away first, having snapped out at the giggles and the movements of the girl. Jaerin turned away after recovering from the shock, her cheeks reddened like a tomato.

Holy shit, how did that happen?

Her lips are so... soft...

"Miyun!"

A pair of adults came running towards the three, the young girl jumped in delight at the familiar voice.

"Dad! Mom!"

Chenle let Miyun down onto the floor carefully as the girl went running towards her parents, her parents scooping her up and checking on her.

"Thank you! Thank you so much!"

"No problem," Chenle replied, seeing that Jaerin was out of her mind to speak at the moment.

The parents bowed again, carrying Miyun as the girl waved goodbye at them. They could hear the young girl exclaiming to her parents, something they were shocked of.

"Dad, Mom, the two of them aren't a couple. I was sad and made Jaerin unnie turn her head towards me when she didn't notice her distance with Chenle. Hehe, I pushed Chenle's head towards Jaerin unnie and they kissed! Now they are a couple right? Pretty unnie has a boyfriend now!"

"Goodness gracious, this is fucking awkward. You better remove this incident from your memories. Damn it, my first kiss."

Jaerin grumbled, picking up her plushie and strode away, not wanting to face the boy right now as her head was swirling with mixed emotions.

That was my first kiss too...

Chenle sighed, grabbing the stuff and followed a few feet behind her in case she was pissed. The rest of the walk back to Jaerin's house was silent, a very confused Jaehyun greeting the both of them when they reached the house.

Luckily for her, Chenle didn't bring it up in front of the friends or in front of her after that day, continuing to tease her and bother her whenever he had a chance to.

Lmao I hope it doesn't sound cringe

But anyways, today is the last day of CNY and I'm gonna visit my relatives later. If I have time I might upload one more later, no promises!
