A few weeks had passed by and her brother would constantly visit her at the hospital while Taeyong and Jaehyun took turns to watch after her during the night, insisting that Jaemin should take some rest for the next day of school.

Karina and Winter would also take turns with Ningning and Giselle to visit her so she could rest properly without too many people crowding around her room. The doctor had confirmed that she had healed quickly, her old injuries were also recovering, much to the relief of the three males.

Jaemin had been trying to avoid being caught by his parents from sneaking out after school and at night, for his and Jaerin's safety. Jae Eun has yet to know what happened to Jaerin, since the boy didn't want to worry her despite Jae Eun picking up that Jaerin had not attended school for the past few weeks and Jaemin seems to be out of character recently.

"Earth to Jaemin?" Jeno waved his hands in front of the young boy, who snapped out of his world and jolted on his seat. Jeno casted a concerned look at him, which he shrugged off and assured he was fine.

"What were you thinking about? You seemed off these days."

"Nothing- fine, I was just worried of Jaerin," Jaemin sighed when he received an unconvinced look from Renjun and Jeno, the two having noticed that Jaemin was always spacing out whenever they had the same classes, whether or not it was his favourite subjects or the most boring subjects they had been forced to take.

It seems like his gear in his brain stopped working every time they looked at him, face emotionless, eyes bored, his normal smiley lips turned into a frown.

"Why don't we accompany you to visit her? It's been a long time since we saw her too," Jeno softly suggested and Jaemin glanced at Renjun, seeing that the older one also nodded in agreement. Jaemin pondered a bit, debating if it would be a right choice to bring them along.

"You know, Chenle has been overworking himself ever since Jaerin was hospitalized. He claimed that he had to do double the work because Jaerin wasn't around."

Renjun pointed at the boy who was at the corner of the cafeteria talking to a teacher.

"But we know he is avoiding us so he wouldn't have to visit her with us, probably scared to confess that he is worried for Jaerin."

Jaemin furrowed, bewildered as to why Renjun would say that.

"Why? I know he isn't on good terms with my sister but why would he be scared? I know that it was my sister's whatever grudge she has, not his."

Jeno shrugged. "Probably because he has liked her since sophomore year, so he just played along to annoy her more."

Renjun smacked Jeno's arm, earning a 'what' from the latter as Renjun shushed him from talking further. Jaemin didn't notice their small banter but glanced over at Chenle again, seeing that the boy was sighing and walked off, probably back to the student council room. His eye bags got worse day by day and the boys were worried that he didn't get enough sleep and might faint.

"I will go talk to him," Jaemin left the table before Renjun and Jeno could stop him.
