Chapter 8

*Niall's POV*

I had to go shopping too, I needed to look good for Mae and I's first date, and it needed to be perfect! So I decided I'd better tag along with the girls who were going shopping. Maybe I could get Sophia on her own so I could get some advice on what to wear? Great idea Niall!

I heard the door creak from behind me; I turned over on my bed to find Mae standing at the doorway. I smiled, 'Hey Baby' I said, and she walked over and came and sat next to me. She looked worried.

'Mae, what's wrong?' I ask, moving closer to her. She then replied 'I was just wondering why you wanted to keep us a secret, are you ashamed to be with me or something?' she looked like she was about to cry, I couldn't bare to see her like this!

'No Mae don't. I'm unbelievably lucky to have you! The only reason I want it a secret at the moment is because relationships always work out better if no one knows, you know that's the truth Mae!' I replied. She looked better. I pulled her in for a hug and said 'I lo-' I was interrupted by her hand over my mouth.

'I want the first time you properly say that to me to be perfect! Let’s wait a bit, otherwise saying that would become an everyday thing and I don't want that to happen!' She quickly said, she had a point I suppose. Yeah, I think I love her, but one day the love feeling may hit me, really hard, then I suppose she’d want me to tell her.

She's told me she loves me before, but not like that.

'Okay love' I smiled, 'Oo by the way, I’m coming shopping with you and Sophia today!'

'Fine! But don't complain if we're being too girly!' she teased 'ooo and wear a suit tonight' she winked. Why did she want me to wear a suit? Suits are just hassle, but I will, for her.

'Why do you-' I was cut off once again by Mae, this time she kissed me, that's the way to shut a guy up! She then skipped out the room, not another word was said.

*Mae's POV*

I skipped from Niall and Harry's room into mine and Sophia's. She was in there straightening her hair.

'Hey by the way Ni's coming shopping with us!' I beam at her.

'Okay, I'll get Haz to come too then!' She smiled back; shopping with us all is going to be, eventful to say the least!

I wish I could tell Soph about me and Niall, but like Niall said, it would ruin our relationship. I'm not saying Soph would sabotage our relationship, but then everyone will find out and it would just be too much!

After about an hour and a half, the four of us were at the 'mall' as Americans called it. Me and Soph had saved and saved for this trip so we had a very good amount of money. So we hit the shops.

Harry and Soph went off to find their outfits leaving me and Niall to find ours, we started with Niall. He looks hot in a suit, like even hotter than usual. That's why I needed him to wear one tonight! Once we found Niall’s suit, we went looking for my outfit, I bought a black dress and some sparkly platform heels, I’ve been looking at them for ages! We then made our way back to the holiday house.

As soon as I got back, I hopped in the shower and then started to get ready. I straightened my hair, as it was quite short, like 2 inches past shoulder length, I couldn't really curl it, so I had no choice. I then applied make-up, smokey eyes and foundation. Then I shimmied into my dress and I was done!

I was ready just in time as it was half six now. I made my way cautiously down the stairs, as my shoes were very high. Niall was waiting at the bottom of the stairs for me, literally staring. Have I got something on my face?!
