"cleo do you actually know where you're going?" jj asked the girl as they stopped on the middle of the rock and looked at the broken , abandoned building in front of them.
"we can hole up here, it ain't the taj mahal but" she stated
"it'll do" john b agreed and they all walked to the building. pope held canyons hand as they walked up the rocks and into the building
"I get the biggest room" cleo said and they climbed up the rocks and got to the building as they all hid. they ran until they got to the biggest room
"we can stay here, its an old hotel. terrance and I squatted here before" she told them.
"five stars" jj exclaimed as they all walked into the room
"home sweet home" sarah said
"you can say that again" canyon said to the girl who smiled at her
"we gotta get kiara out guys. does anyone have anything? cow girl, you got anything?" he asked
"I don't know j" she stated sadly and pope rubbed her knuckles with his thumb before he spoke up
"look we cant storm the fort, we can't call the cops. we cant even negotiate, we don't know what they want. its gotta be about the cross or the gold" he said
"guys like singh its always about money" cleo said
"of fucking course it is" she said and she looked to see sarah and john b staring out of the window. they all fell asleep but the next morning canyon woke up and looked at jj
"jj what is that?" she asked and he looked at her
"this is a little souvenir that I plucked from portis' pocket." he said and she groaned
"you have a phone?" sarah asked
"I forgot I had it, it was in my back pocket that's my bad" jj said
"oh my god, dude. can we go anywhere without you stealing something?" pope asked
"you know the answer to that pope. i steal shit. that's my job " jj retorted
"at this point yeah" canyon stated
"howd you get this unlocked?" pope asked
"no passcode, portis keeps it loose and now we're just looking for the kidnapper" jj said
"well any information that would help negotiate with this guy. the problem is I don't see a carlos singh in his contacts, just a bunch of nicknames and shit " pope said
"or codes. portis called him kingfish , it was kingfish" canyon said and they went to the contacts as they found him
"you are one smart women" jj said.
"alright come on jj I'm just trying to get kiara back" canyon said and he nodded
"right, right so text him okay" jj said
"and say what?" pope retorted
"okay you said it, negotiate right. pretend to be portis, ask him to meet somewhere in private, that's really important. just solo. bam we jump his ass, tie him up and then politely ask for kiara in return for his life" jj said
" we should think this through" pope stated
"yeah I agree with pope" canyon exclaimed
"of course you would, he's your boyfriend but whats rule number one? thinking never helps when you already have the idea" jj said
"hang on, I agree with pope and canyon, this could make things ten times worse for us and kiara" sarah said
"okay how much worse can it actually get?" john b exclaimed
"I can think of a few ways" sarah retorted
"okay well while you're thinking , why don't you just let it rip?" john b said and jj texted. canyon looked around and then she heard the others talking making her turn to them and listen in
"john b we can really plan this out man" pope said and then they heard the phone again.
"a little announcement, never mind I just tracked your location , and I'm sending my men, they'll be there in ten minutes to pick you up" jj announced
"everybody relax for a second, lets just think about a plan" john b said and they all nodded.
"wait yall I know you guys might not want to hear it but we got home-field advantage, we can turn this around, we're gonna booby trap this shit. we're not running for this dude, this is our chance at getting kiara back, its gonna work, we got ten minutes lets go" jj said and they began to work together
soon enough they heard trucks pulling up and put the plan into motion. canyon stayed with pope and cleo as they waited for the signals. soon, a man fell through the floor and they attacked him as jj, john b and sarah ran down the stairs. after that, it was a pure blur, everything happed quickly.
they ran out of the building and ran as far as they could. when they hid, jj was the one who stayed out. soon he found kiara
" I FOUND HER" jj yelled. and they all got up as they ran to the girl
"we missed you, kie " canyon told the girl and kiara smiled at her
" I missed you too sunshine " kiara whispered and then she looked at the boat that she came on. the others ran over as they all hugged her and she hugged them back.
"okay, anyways is this you? what is this?" sarah asked her as she pointed to the boat and kiara laughed
"you wouldn't believe it if i told you, come on" she told them and they all climbed on the boat. well all but one of them. the one being john b and canyon stared at him
"jb come on" canyon called out and then she turned to see kiara sitting with sarah and pope sitting with cleo.
"come on guys, we gotta go" cleo called and they tied up everything only to see john b getting off the boat
"JOHN B WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" canyon called and he turned
"I have to go find out" he told her canyon sighed
"he's an idiot" she stated and then she heard the sound of sirens coming towards them
"GUYS WE HAVE TO GO NOW" she called as sarah pushed the engine and they began to move out of the dock.
they had left john b and what were they going to do now?

I am so so sorry for the slow updates, to be honest I've been having trouble writing my obx books due to the fact that s3 felt so detached from the other seasons but I have vacation soon so I'm going to try and pump these out.
