they stayed on the boat and rode it home. canyon sat next to pope as she held his hand and leaned her head on his shoulder
"so this is what we're doing huh? we're just sailing out. we're just gonna forget about john b? we should've never left him alright? we're turning right back around " jj said and cleo spoke up
"no, we're all gonna get caught, what type of plan is that?" cleo retorted
"its a plan to stick together cleo" jj said
"then we're dead together" she said
"jj shes right, if we had stayed there for a second longer we'd all be dead and there'd be no point in saving john b or going back because we'd be dead. i know you want to stick with him and keep him safe but you cant keep us and him safe all the time" canyon told him and he stared at her. he was almost shocked by what she had said
"canyons right, we did the right thing" kiara agreed.soon enough a phone rang and kiara picked it up
"whos that?" jj asked
"its portis" kiara exclaimed
"portis? that's john b. that's definitely john b" jj stated and he took the phone as he picked it up and began to talk to john b.
"I said don't worry about me. look its way too hot here, you gotta get out of here, go back to obx " he told them
"we do not copy" jj said
"jj come on, let sarah talk to him" canyon spoke up and he handed her the phone
"john b, are you okay?" sarah asked
"yes yes I'm fine, everythings fine alright now listen" he exclaimed
"okay he's fine, jb what the hell happened?" she asked
"I found my dad, he's alive" john b said and canyon made eye contact with pope as he held her hand. he knew how much she worried about him and what he thought about his dad. she wanted him back too but she knew that if john b went down the rabbit hole. they may not be able to get him out
"get out of here, ill meet you on kildare" he told them
"kildare, when?" sarah asked and then the call ended.
"you guys think he found his father?" cleo asked
"look sarah we're sitting ducks so we need you to decide, are we leaving or heading back. sarah, sarah come on" jj pushed
"let her think for a fucking second jj god" she told him and sarah smiled sadly but gratefully at canyon
"he said to go home so go home" sarah exclaimed
"sarah wait" jj tried
"go" she said and she walked off as they all stared at her. soon enough canyon walked over to jj and pope leaving kiara and cleo to themselves. they knew that after the girls had spent so much time on the island together, there was something there and even though they didn't want to say it, they had all made a bet to see how long it would take for the two girls to admit their feelings.
soon enough after being on the boat for so long, they docked at st. kitts. kiara, jj and sarah stayed on the boat as canyon got off with pope and cleo. when they got off , cleo turned to them
"lets go find a corner shop, gotta be nearby" she said and they walked into a store together
"alright time to gain some provisions, yeah?" cleo said as she turned to the couple
"yeah, lets do this" canyon said
"wait canyon, you're just going to walk in there and shoplift?" pope asked his girlfriend and she turned to him
"pope we don't exactly have money" she said and cleo nodded
"yeah pope, you got a pocketful of cash?" she asked and cleo laughed as she shook her head
"so what? no snappy comeback? come back, gray pipe" cleo said and canyon laughed making pope turn to his girlfriend. she looked around and stopped laughing.
"look, I ain't got nothing. what do you think?" pope asked
"okay, stay quiet , watch my back . maybe this will cheer you up" cleo said and they walked into the store. pope held canyons hand as they looked around. canyon ignored everything around her as she let pope and cleo work their magic.
once they had gotten everything they needed, they ran out of the building and back to the boat. canyon laughed with them as they climbed on
"alright, we're going home" canyon said as she got back on the boat with pope. cleo automatically went to kiara and canyon nudged pope
"what?" he asked and she pointed up at the two girls making pope look up and smile. they watched as cleo brushed kiaras hair behind her ear and smiled at kiara whos cheek turned slightly pink
"remember when you pulled that move on me?" canyon asked him and he laughed with a smile
"yeah and it worked" he told her
"it seems to be working for her too" canyon said as they looked up to see the two girls staring into each others eyes
"I feel like I'm a side-character in a rom-com" canyon stated and he laughed. they watched cleo lean in and kiara did too as the two girls kissed
"alright you're paying me when we get home" canyon said as she danced and pope laughed
"never should've made the bet" he stated and she laughed at him as he pulled her in and kissed her making her kiss him back. they were happy for once and they would continue to be happy because they knew one thing and one thing only
they were going home

kiara will always be a lesbian to me, that's been my headcanon since season 1 and that's never changed. i will do anything and everything to make sure that we get lesbian kiara no matter what.
