I decided that after two weeks of not talking to Luke, I would meet up with him so he could say what he's been dying to.

I was over at Calum's, preparing myself for the extreme emotional rollercoaster I was about to get on.

"Calum, will you come with me? I'm really nervous. What do you think he'll say?" I asked him, sitting on his black leather couch.

He sat his Corona down on the coffee table right beside him and said, "You'll be fine, he's probably just assuring you that what you saw was true. Who knows, maybe he'll will apologize."

We talked a little while longer before the two of us left to meet Luke in the park.

"Can this park be our place?" Luke asked, grabbing my hand in his. His hand was cold, but it was okay. I loved moments like these.

"What do you mean? How can this place be ours when we have nothing to prove so?" I smirked.

"You do know how to make me think, don't you?" He laughed. "I got it! We can carve our initials in this tree and then spray paint it on the wall, too," he jumped up, pulling me with him.

He gave me a light kiss before pulling out his pocket knife and carving "L + C" into the tree.

"Here," I said, handing him my bottle of black spray paint, "Write our initials here."

He took the black spray paint and drew an arrow heart, just big enough to put my name in.

"I'm going to get your name tattooed in an arrow heart, just like this..." His sentence trailed off as he got more busy with designing.

Two weeks later, Luke came to my parents' house with a tattoo that, was in fact, an arrow heart with "Carter" written in it.

He cheekily smiled at me and whispered an "I love you" before running away. Unfortunately, I didn't know it would be our last moments happily together...
