Chapter 5

"Why did you do that?" Sarah asked her Daughter when they entered the unfamiliar car with an unfamiliar driver.

"Do what?" Zerhica asked her as she stared at the passing scenery outside the moving car.

"What are your plans now? You've just graduate and don't have a job. Although I have money in my savings, Isn't it better if we just stayed at your father's house and live spending his money?"

"Don't worry about money mom. I have plenty of those just like what I promised before I went to college. Remember?" Zerhica asked as she gently held her mother's hand.

"Is that really your money? You didn't loan from a loan shark just to get me out of that house, did you?"

Zerhica laughed at her mother's conclusion and explained everything to her.

"You're the founder of that cafe?" Sarah asked. Her eyes were wide and her mouth opened as she process what she just heard from her daughter.

It was unknown to everyone who the mysterious owner of that popular cafe is but Sarah never knew it was actually her own daughter.

Months passed ever since Zerhica and her mother moved out of the Lionheart mansion leaving Veron, Lilia, and Kate.

They have been living in an expensive condominium that Zerhica bought the day she graduate. The condominium was great and had very good security that's why Zerhica was not worried every time she was going to leave her mother alone to go to work.

Zerhica's business, the milk tea cafe has been more successful and popular than ever and it kept on growing but despite that, Zerhica had been relaxing while letting her secretary, Nora, keep the business running.

"There will be a party this coming Saturday and you have to attend," Nora said to Zerhica.

"You know business party is not my thing" Zerhica answered before leaning back in her swivel chair. She's currently in her office in the main branch of milk tea cafe but instead of working, she's just there to watch her secretary do the work.

Nora sighed. She'd been very busy the past few months because of her lazy boss but she doesn't really mind because her salary was twice more than an average secretary.

"This is a business party arranged by one of your business partners so you have to attend to avoid offending them" Nora tried to convince her boss. The business party is not just an ordinary party but a very crucial thing in the business world and she has to convince her boss to attend no matter what.

"Not going" Zerhica closed her eyes and then signaled Nora to leave. She'd rather spend her time sleeping than attending one of those parties where everyone is fake.

Zerhica had attended countless business parties in her past life and every time, her cheeks were so stiff trying to maintain her fake smile. She don't want to experience that ever again.

Nora sighed as she watch her boss not caring about the world but then she suddenly have an idea. "Mr. Miharo Dragoste will be there"

Just like what Nora expected, Zerhica suddenly opened her eyes and look at her. "Who?"

"Mr. Miharo" Nora said, trying hard not to laugh.

Zerhica nodded. "Then, since you want me to attend that party so bad, I'll go"

Nora's smile widened then she nodded her head. She doesn't really know why but every time Mr. Miharo's name was mentioned, Zerhica would suddenly be interested as if she was a fan girl of his.
