After classes had ended, I went to my locker and shoved everything into them. Thank god i had a job, so i only had two classes and lunch at school.

After lunch i'd leave and go to work.

I was glad of that, because i've had an awful first day.

I met Niall where i said i would and we went to lunch.

We sat a round table in the middle of the lunch room together.

"How has your first day been so far, friend?" Niall asked as he stuck his fork into the food.

"Eh. i've had better, but im glad we met." I smiled at the boy as i drank a sip of my water.

"What's the problem?" niall asked.

"Just been a bit rough. I hate being the new student at schools. It's so weird and awkward because you don't even know anyone. And clearly i'm gay, and apparently that's just such a big deal at this school. Whatever."

"Hey, i'm sorry you had a bad day. But i think i have an idea to make your day better." Niall smiled.

"and what's that?" I looked at him.

He smiled widely, his eyebrows furrowing.

I basically looked dumbfounded when he stood on top of his seat and yelled out .
"I'm Niall Horan and i'm Gay! If you have a problem with it, just remember, i probably fucked your dad or brother already!" Niall laughed as he sat back down.

There's no way he just did that.

I laid my head on the table trying not to show my laughter.

"No way.." I said.

"No way? No way, what? I'm gay or did that?" Niall giggled.

"Both!!" I sat up and looked at him, my eyes watering from laughter.

Niall laughed. "I'm not afraid of anythinggggg!" He exclaimed.

"Mhm, we'll see about that... Also, i don't have any more classes, i signed up for Co-op. Because i have a job. But i usually only work on Tuesday's, Thursdays and the weekends. But since i don't work today, would you like to come hangout at my place after lunch? You totally don't have to, id understand  if you said no. I mean we just met so..." I rambled on and on until i was interrupted.

"Shut up Harryyyy, of course i'd like to come over! I don't have any plans anyways, and i have an elective after this class so it's not biggie." Niall smiled as he sipped his drink.

I nodded at him. "cool. You wanna ride with me ?"

"Yeah sure, considering i don't have a car yet... haha"

"Cool." I replied.

We finished eating shortly after, but we had to stay until the bell rang. Because you're not allowed to leave school until every bell rings.

I looked up when i heard Louis' voice once again with his friends.

"Yo look who it is! Fag number one with fag number two. What a coincidence" I heard Louis say with a laugh afterwards.

I tucked my hair behind my ear as i looked up to him, i clenched my jaw and my fist.

"Watch your mouth, Tomlinson." Niall said as he stood to his feet.

"Aww isn't that cute? Little boy is sticking up for his little 'girl'. love at first sight, huh?" Louis laughed as he nudged his friends.

I could tell Niall was getting pissed. His face grew red and he had his fist clenched up.

"I said watch your mouth. "

Louis and his friends continued to laugh, but that was stopped all at once when Niall's fist met Louis' jaw.

"Ah! Fuck, this little bitch just hit me." Louis wobbled back.

"Not cool, Bruh." Liam said as he stepped closer.

Niall and Louis started fighting hard core, i decided it was getting a bit out of hand and i stood up.

"Niall, come on bro. He's not worth it. Shitheads like him aren't worth it. He's just mad because he can't get laid." I glared at Louis before pulling Niall back and stepping in front of him.

"You're gonna wish you never met me, i can promise you that." I bucked up at him and louis stumbled back and held his hands up as if he were surrendering.

I grabbed Niall's hand and rushed out the cafeteria.

"why'd you do that?" I asked, walking out.

"I told you that those guys were absolute jerks. and i wasn't going to let them talk to you like some dog. We're friends now and i stick up
for all my friends. So i wasn't going to let them just spit on you and think it's okay" He said quickly.

"Well look. I can handle myself most of the times, i appreciate it though. I really do. But i'm used to it by now. I came out as a kid so i've had enough time to get over it and ignore ignorance like that. It doesn't affect me as much anymore so it's okay. But that Louis kid? Yeah that's my stepbrother so i'm especially used to it from him. He's just trying to act tough and cool in front of his friends. I just ignore him. He's dumb anyways."

I talked as i walked out to my car, making sure that Niall was following.

"Wait what?" Niall stopped walking.

"What?" I turned and looked at him as i unlocked my car.

"that's your brother?!" He yelled.

"Yeah? Why are you yelling?" I kinda laughed .

"I hate that for you, honestly. He's made my high school life a living hell for the past two years and i've finally had enough of it. That, in there, was the first time i'd ever even spoke up to him. I don't see how you deal with him."

"I have dealt with him for almost two years, i don't care what he says. He's just jealous because he's totally lame and nobody pays him attention. His words don't affect me. He's a loser. I'm sorry he's treated you so bad, i do hate that . I'll talk to him about it." I hopped in my car.
"Are you coming or not?" I looked at niall who was still just standing there dumbfounded.

"uh... yeah" He climbed into the car.

The ride to my house was quite quiet and awkward, i decided to turn on the radio since the silence was so loud.

"Have you ever been to a party?" Niall asked suddenly.

"Nah, i mean not like a high school party. It's just not really my thing." I replied as we came close to my house .

"Well... there's this huge party friday night, it's like this annual thing the upper class man do every year. And i'm friends with a girl who's a senior. Her names Ella, she invited me and she said i could bring a plus one. I think we should go"

I parked my car and looked over to Niall.

"I'm going to pass... it's not my thing."

"Oh come on harryyyy!! How else are you everrr gonna make more friends?" He nudged my arm.

"i'm perfectly fine having just you as a friend. I don't need a lot of friends to be happy"

"Please just this once, i promise you'll have fun! I can come over early and we can get all dressed up together and do our nails and things and go together. And you don't even have to drink if you don't want. You can just be my DD (designated driver) . If you'd prefer. "

I looked at Niall before getting out my car.
"I'll think about it. No promises though".

And that was it.
