Dear diary, today will be different. It has to be. I will smile, and it will be believable. My smile will say "I'm fine, thank you." "Yes, I feel much better." I will no longer be the sad little girl who lost her parents. I will start fresh, be someone new. It's the only way I'll make it through.

"Toast. I can make toast." The sound of my aunts voice made it's way to me as a I stepped silently off the last step. "It's all about the coffee, Aunt Jenna." I plopped down on said step, slipping black sneakers onto my feet as I quickly tuned out the conversation at the sound of my sisters voice. I adored Elena but her voice made me want to strangle myself.. or her.

I stood, bumping into Jenna in the process. We exchanged knowing looks at each other before both heading out the door, Jen turning to her car as I walked down the path to my school.

I had made it down the street and turned the corner before a voice called out to me. "Hey! Wait for me." I paused momentarily, allowing my brother to catch up with me before continuing. "I didn't even see you leave." Remy said looking down at me causing annoyance to rise in my stomach. "OW! What was that for!" He yelped as I pinched him, shooting a small glare towards me. I scowled.. "That's what you get for being taller then me you undeserving fuck llama." He rolled his eyes at that, used to me getting mad at him being taller then me even though he was younger then me. Jeremy and I made it a habit to walk to school together, after he made me promise not to drive there till he got his license that is. "So, wanna play WDEWIHDTM?"

"What did Elena write in her diary this morning?" He inquired. "That's the one!" I quipped, jumping up onto the long wall leading down the sidewalk. It wasn't too tall, just enough where I could stand at the same hight as Remy, which made me pretty happy. "I think she just wrote a reverbed version of 'somewhere only we know' and claimed it as her "soul" speaking." He said flatly making me chuckle. "I bet it's some gloomy, self-depreciating poem about how she needs to hide her feelings and be strong for everyone ya know, cause she's her." I guessed, looking at the Mystic Falls high school as we got closer to it. "But hey, who knows, oh I do.. we should steal it one day!" Ways to swipe Lena's diary were already swarming my head as Remy shook his. "Well if you do, I never knew, got it?" He waved, turning the corner to go to the druggies "spot" as he put it.

I didn't care about him doing them nearly as much as Lena did. He's grieving, if he wants to do so by ruining his body, so be it. As long as he doesn't overdo it and get himself killed, where all good.

Upon entering the school my eyes locked onto a familiar head of bouncy blonde curls, lips curling into a grin as I ran, quickly tackling her unsuspecting back. "CAREBEAR!" My screech caught the attention of a number of students, majority turning back to there doings as it wasn't an uncommon sight. "Jesus Eris, you almost scared the bitch out of me!" She shouted turning to face me as she blew a strand of hair out of her face. "Ha, sorry Care but you know, you should probably be used to it by now." I said smirking at the slightly rattled blonde who only rolled her eyes in response. Linking arms with me, we quickly made our way through the sea of smelly teens into a mostly empty classroom, save for the few students wanting to be there before the bell rang. "So, have you heard about the hot new guy who just transferred?!" Care immediately questioned, urning a shake of the head from me making her huff. " You're my best friend Eris, your suppose to know these things. Anyways, his name is Stephan Salvatore, he's 17 and he lives up at the old boarding house with his uncle, Zach Salvatore. He's got this broody, Edward Collin-ey vibe to him that's totally hot. You're helping me plan our wedding, it's in June. I was thinking floral, probably outside since it'll be summer so nice weather, what color theme should we go for, oh and my dress.." the blonde droned on as I turned my attention to said new student, unable to stop the gasp that left my mouth.

"What?" Care paused, annoyed at being interrupted. She turned to where I was looking and grinned. "Total hottie isn't he, sorry but he's mine so no drooling alr-" I cut her sentence off with a whispered shout.

"THAT'S THE BUNNY-MUNCHER FROM MY VISIONS!"
