Odette’s pov: Healing wounds and parting ways.

Alex didn't say anything, he just looked up at me with a boyishly handsome grin on his face. I could not help but smile back at him.

Odette: “Now down to business! It's going to hurt a little, but I need you to remove your overcoat and shirt, so that I can tend to your wound.”

I immediately felt my cheeks blushed a deep red, after I uttered those words.
I have never seen such a handsome man shirtless before!! If I just keep my composure, everything will be fine and hopefully he won’t suspect anything...

At first, Alex gazed at me with amazement in his eyes and an amusing smile on his lips. Later on, his expression turned back to normal, when he carefully undressed himself and neatly placed his clothes next to him on the stack of hay.

I almost forgot to let out the breath that was still caught in my throat, when I saw the wound on his shoulder. It is a very deep and distinctive werewolf bite.  Alex made it very clear not to ask any questions, so I am just going to do my best to heal the wound!!

Odette: “Alex, I need to gather some antibiotic herbs to fight off the werewolf venom and collect new dressings to bind your wound with. Please try not to move too much, I will do my best to hasten back.”

Suddenly a smirk appeared on his face.

Alexander: “I won't even try arguing with you, when you have that stubborn and determined look on your face.”

Before another blush broke out in my face, I turned around and made my way to the barn doors as quickly as my wobbly legs could carry me.

When I got outside, I covered my burning cheeks with both of my hands. The fresh air helps me to think straight again!!

The moment he took off his shirt, my mind became very foggy and I couldn’t help but stare at his perfectly sculpted, torso, broad shoulders and muscular arms...

Fortunately, Alex didn't see my reaction!!  By the time he was done and glanced in my direction again, I already regained my self-control and thoroughly examined the wound…

Why am I acting this way? And why does this man have such a strange effect on me? No other man in my one thousand years of existence, has ever made me feel this way. From the moment I looked into Alex's soft hazelnut eyes, I felt a connection pulling me closer to him…

As I look up at the sky with a smile on my lips, I see the moon in her full glory. Every evening when she appears and light's up the dark night, my golden locks of hair also turns into silver locks, always complementing the moon's reflection.

Enough daydreaming Odette, you have to go get the herbs and take care of his wounded shoulder.

We luckily have all the herbs I need for his wound in the garden near the barn, so I don't have to use my healing abilities. While I was gathering the herbs, I also picked fruit from the surrounding trees in the orchard and placed them in a basket.

When I got back inside the barn, Alex was laying stretched out on the haystack, lost in thought.  When I stood next to him again, he lifted up his head and glanced at my hair with confusion flashing in his eyes...
