The day was young and the sun was emerging, though the new medicine apprentice shecat didn't get to see the sun rise as she cared for one of the older apprentices- a caramel brown tomcat with the name of pinepaw, who had recently suffered a major injury and was confined to the medicine den for the time being. Her mind was conflicted as this warrior apprentice appeared to know more about herbs than her, the medicine apprentice.
"Pinepaw, how are you feeling?" Her voice soft as she spoke to the mouse brained apprentice. "I am fine, thank you verdinpaw. What would I do without you?" His voice was a sweet chuckle as he talked to his good friend. The young shecat sighed as she grabbed some dill from the shelf to feed it to the injured apprentice before her attention was drawn to a kit, a kit who she saw as a sister. "Oh, hello, mousekit. Do you need anything?" The kit then mewed."No, I just wanted to see cactusprickle. " She jumped up and down before verdinpaw heard her mentor talking to pinepaw about herbs and him showing interest. The young molly then grabbed a pouch with leg holes and placed a mousekit in it before leaving to the camp.
The sun blared onto the apprentice who then brought the kit and herself to a shaded area of the usually hot camp. Verdinpaw looked around before sighing and speaking to herself "What if I'm not fit to be a medicine cat if I can't even help an apprentice.." Her tone was upset as she spoke and looked to the warriors den with a thought coming to mind.
"What if I wasn't a medicine apprentice? Pinepaw seems more fit than me after all" The thought raced through her mind as her gaze was fixed on the warriors den
