3 Hours earlier

"Isn't it closer to drug abuse than potion's practice?" questioned Hermione to her boyfriend and her closest friend.

Ron shrugged as he once again looked at the instruction on the blackboard. Harry, on his side, had to admit, Hermione wasn't quite far from the truth. He was surprised it was even in the school content. Alright, learning the potion is a thing, but to experience it? Wasn't this type of potion one of those addictive types one shouldn't try without fair warning?

"I think Snape became a bit more reckless after surviving Nagini's bite. I can't believe Mcgonagall accepted it to be in the school content of the year." whispered Harry to his friends.

He managed not to let out any sound of surprise when his and Ron's head had been grabbed by their teacher and pushed down to their notebooks. Ron on his side, couldn't keep quiet and let out a complaint.

"As the men matured, the boys haven't changed." commented Professor Snape. "Granger, you'll be sitting with Miss Parkinson. Weasley, I'll have you seated with Mr. Zabini as for you Potter..." Snape lips curled into what could appear to be an evil smile. But Harry knew better to see it as one now that he saw his memories in the pensieve. "Have a seat with Mr. Malfoy."

Or On second thought... It really was one evil of a smile.

Ron was the only one to react with a disapproving grunt winning the house to receive a minus 10 points. The red head let out a moan of disgust, but Harry couldn't help but to realize their professor didn't remove points to the three of them straight from the start. His eyes met for a moment with Snape as he was placing his notebook on the table glued to Malfoy's one. He nodded at his teacher acknowledging the positive change of behavior, in which he received an eye roll as an answer before Snape put his attention on the blackboard.

"Generalis benevolentiae affectum." said the teacher as he wrote it on the board. "Each and everyone of you will create it, sample it and as I previously said, taste it."

With a hit of his wand, the ingredients cupboard opened wide and the highest items went flying to a table in the middle of it.

"I'll have one person out of each team come and get the ingredients from your book while the other warm up their cauldron to the right temperature. You have two hours."

Professor Snape clapped in his hands and an hourglass appeared on his desk. Realizing it already started and there won't be any further instructions. Harry grabbed his book and ran to the cupboard with a few more students. Struggling to recognize the Ginseng root, the gryffindor followed everyone and hoped for it to be the right thing. Remaining things were easier to recognize such as the Cocoa Powder, African Red Pepper, Alihotsy, Anjelica, Essence of Comfrey, Honeywater, Rose Petals and Moonstone. There was so much to bring, but he didn't dare to use any magic trick on them, he wouldn't want the ingredients to lose their abilities, therefore he brought as much as he could in one row and returned to take the remaining.

"I swear Potter, if I fail this potion because of you, you'll hear of my father."

"Seventeen and still hiding behind your father?" mocked Harry with a satisfied grin upon his lips. "Thought you'll be old enough to talk for yourself by now."

"At least I still have a father I can rely on." replied Malfoy, his expression showing more disappointment than actual hatred.

"Which reminds me I've never heard you thanking me about it so far."

The blonde boy turned crimson red, embarrassment and anger flowing out as he sharply grabbed the Moonstone and melted it with a flick of his wand.

"I don't remember requesting your help with the Wizengamot, Potter." replied Malfoy as he poured the liquid Moonstone in the already warm enough cauldron. He stirred with his wand two times clockwise and three times the other way. "Essence of Comfrey now!"
