what does it mean to be a human?

My phone woke me up the next day. It was now Friday, last day of school for this werk. Thanks god. I actually would love to go to school if there weren't so many people, so many faces, so many starres... I love to learn new things, I'm a straight A student but i still have trouble with even waking up and going there, every morning it's a pain.. I just want to finish it as soon as possible. I finally stood up and went in the bathroom, that Noah guy came back in my mind „should I text him? No not now it's to early asshole" I said to myself. I hated myself and you could really tell that, I'm so goddamn insecure that I can't even really speak up for myself. I just wish there could be another way.

After I made myself ready I skipped breakfast, just took two pain killers for my daily headache and went straight into the school. The moment I entered Noah came running to me. He was already so full of energy even tho it was just the morning. "Eddie! Hey you didn't text me, I waited so long!" He sounded a bit disappointed. I knew I should have texted him but I just somehow couldn't "I'm sorry okay?" I said trying to make it okay again. He didn't even wait a second to forgive me "it's okay let's go to class now, our first lessons are chemistry" he said happily. Wait but how does he know my school schedule.. I was a bit suspicious but decided to stay quiet. I was still wondering why he was with me, I mean there are soo many less boring people here than me. Hes just wasting his energy over nothing. "But I think you are really cool" he suddenly said. Oh no did I say it out loud. My face went red from embarrassment. How could I not notice that? „I'm sorry I-„ I quickly apologised, he just laughed a bit. 

After some minutes passed the teacher announced a group Projekt, how lucky, there was nothing in this earth I hated more than group project and for my best he told me to go in a group with 2 of the most popular boys in my school. I quietly went to them and just stared working alone "hey nerd, hurry I wanna be the first one done for a better grade" shut up.. shut up shut up shut up was the only thing I could think. He doesn't do anything and expects me to do all the work just because I have something called a brain.. i didnt want to argue with someone like him so i just started wokring. 

He was being loud with the other guy in my group and it really annoyed me. I couldnt hold it in anymore so I finally spoke up "could you two please shut the fuck up im trying to work so we get a good grade and you two are really annyoing me!" they suddently turned to me " oh oh oh look who finally found words to speak. you loser cant tell us anything." one of them laughed a bit. they really made me mad so I just kept telling them my opinion "at least im fucking working!" their laughing faces turned into straight once. "oh yea? well.." one of them looked at the teacher who seemed to busy with something else. then he turned to me again, grapped me by my collar and pulled me out of the classroom. I knew I was in big trouble. "please im sorry, im gonna miss the next class!". they just laughed "oh yea the nerd doesnt want to be late for his next class, well then you know what it means we have to be fast."  the one who grapped my by my collar smashed me against the wall and the other one started punching me in the face. I felt blood coming out of my nose but I didnt do or say anything. I knew I wasnt strong enough. I knew i was just a weird nerd who couldnt survive in such a world. I heard their laugh when my eyes slowly closed.

 is it over?. can i really only handle some hard punches? Am I such a loser...? It was all black. I couldnt feel my body anymore. There was jus nothing, i didnt feel pain or anger or anything. It was just nothing. "Eddie!!" I heard a voice from my away. I knew that voice... "eddie cmon wake up!" I slowly opened my eyes to see Noah starring at me. "rise and shine!" i looked around. I was laying in the school nurse room. guess I survived. "Im so glad we found you before you got any serious damage. I just saw them taking you outside and I was worried so I told the teacher. but when we found you you were already passed out and they were kicking you. the both got suspended for 1 month so dont worry" I tried to remember what happened while Noah told me those informations.. "1 moth huh. am I gonna be in trouble when they come back?" i asked a bit worried "i guess so but dont worry ill be your bodyguard" he said proudly. he was about the hug me when I quickly turned away "please dont touch me!" I said as quickly as possible. even tho he saved me and helped me i still didnt like when people touched me. he seemed a bit suprised "oh right im sorry" THey only hit my head so I was still a bit dizzy but I could move my body so I stood up. "what time is it?" I asked "oh its like 3pm" he anwsered. fuck I missed the complet school day, I never missed one this year before. but wait does that mean noah stayed in school for me..? "did you stay in school just for me.. you could have go home" i asked carefully "oh no I wanted to make sure your alright. I mean its the least I can do as your friend" he said with a smile. friend.. mh.. I never could have imagined someone calling me that. I just smiled a bit and when he noticed that he laughed "wait did I just make you smile? wow you can acutally smile!! you should really smile more often it looks good on you" I just looked away"yea sure..now lets go home its already late" "of course, im gonna drive you home. you cant walk now alone" wait he had a car.. I didnt knoe thta, i actually wanted to say now but he already took my hand and went with me outside. After some minutes of silence we arrived at my home. he said bye and I went in. I  looked outside the window to see him still in front of the door when i suddently realised something. he never asked for my adress, how did he know where I live..? I panicked and quickly ran away from my window...
