After John B found the key they made their way to the coast guard. Evelyn was laying on her stomach at the front of the boat, tapping her nails on the plastic floor as she saw someone taking a seat next to her. It was JJ.
"You okay Eve?" He asked. "Yeah why?" Evelyn replied.
"When we started to talk about the key you just kinda zoned off." He said shrugging his shoulders.
"Oh no it's fine it's just, I don't like the idea of a boat wreck, there's probably a dead body around here somewhere. That tought makes me sick." She explained.
"Yeah I get that, but we'll be good, we're on our way to the coast guard and they can see for themselves so we don't have to be involved anymore."
JJ reassured her.
"You're right, I'm overreacting, maybe it's because I haven't had a smoke in like, 30 hours." She said chuckling.
"You're even worse than me." JJ laughed.
"You're not that bad compared to me JJ."
I smiled.
"Guess not."
He smiled back, looking at her in the eyes.
Their eye contact soon got interrupted by Kiara.
"We're here junks."
She said, obviously overhearing their conversation.
Evelyn just chuckled at her while she got up and got out of the boat with a little help from JJ. When they walked towards the coast guard they saw it was full of people, probably complaining about this storm.
"I'll wait outside." Evelyn told them.
"You sure?" John B asked.
"Yea, it's too crowded in there anyways." She explained.
"I'll wait out here as well." Kie smiled. The boys nodded at them before walking away.
"Alright. See ya in a minute." JJ said as they walked away.
Kie and Evelyn waited for a few minutes on the boat just sitting in silence.
"Hey don't you ever wonder why none of us are dating?" Kie asked out of nowhere.
"No pogue on pogue macking?" Evelyn answered.
"Yea, I'm glad we all take that rule seriously." She smiled.
"Why?" Evelyn asked.
"Because if we were dating one of the pogues and they break up all of us would break up." Kie explained.
"Yea I know what the no pogue on pogue macking rule means, I meant why did you ask about the whole dating thing in the first place?" Evelyn replied.
"I don't know, there's like this really weird tension around lately." Kie shrugged.
"you have feelings for another pogue?" Evelyn smirked.
"What? No? I meant- wait they're coming shut up, pretend like we were talking about something else." Kie rambled.
"Alright ehm, do you like donuts?" Evelyn asked randomly.
"I love donuts, especially the pink ones." Kie replied, trying to hold her laugh.
"Hello Girls." Pope said as he jumped into the boat.
"Oh, hey!" Evelyn said, pretending she didn't see them coming.
"So, how'd it go?" Kiara asked.
"They didn't even listen, so, we're gonna find out about this key ourselves." John B explained.
