~(Gifts?)~

Sonic: Tails! Where are you!!

Tails: In the kitchen, why?

Sonic: No reason, I just wanted to give you a present!

Sonic hands Tails a necklace made with a stone as a charm.

Tails: Aw, thank you! It's so pretty!

Tails put the necklace on, running his fingers on the stone.

Tails: May I ask where you got it?

Sonic rubbed the back of his head while blushing.

Sonic: I made it myself, actually.

Tails: Really?

Sonic: Yeah, I got the stone from the beach. I made the rest with a little help from Cream. I'm glad you like it.

Sonic leaned down a bit and kissed Tails on the forehead. Tails chuckled light-heartedly.

Tails: You're so sweet, thank you for the gift! How about I give you one in return?

Tails smirked a bit. Sonic smiled back playfully.

Sonic: Well if you insist.

Tails: Great, stay here!!

Tails ran away with a skip in their step.

Sonic: Okay, I'll be waiting!

He leans on the countertop.

Tails came back holding something in their hands.

Tails: Close your eyes, no peaking!

Sonic places his hands over his eyes as Tails reaches upwards on their tippy toes to reach the top of Sonic's head, putting a pair of grayish blue brand new goggles.

Tails: Okay, open! Whatcha think?

Sonic lets out a gasp.

Sonic: I love them!

Sonic kissed Tails on the forehead again.

Tails: Stop, you're such a flirt!

Sonic: But you're so cute, I can't help it!

Sonic picks up Tails around the waist. He spins them around. Tails laughs, smiling like a kid.

Tails: I love you Sonic.

Sonic: I love you too buddy.

Sonic stops spinning and they put their heads together. Tails face lights up.

Tails: I have an idea!

They jump down from Sonic's arms and fly away. Sonic laughed lightly.

Sonic: When are you not full of ideas?

A few minutes passed, and Tails had still not returned.

Sonic: Tails, where'd you go?

Sonic briskly walked to where Tails had disappeared. Tails was nowhere to be seen.

Sonic: Tails!? Where did you go!?

Sonic started to panic and searched around frantically.

Sonic: I swear to god if Eggman took you-

Tails lunged out from behind a chair.

Tails: BOO!!

Sonic screamed and fell back.

Sonic: Geez! You almost gave me a heart attack buddy!

Tails started laughed.

Tails: Well, I got something for you, again.

Tails's nuzzle turns a light shade of pink.

Sonic: What is it?

Tails held out a bouquet of flowers.

Tails: Sonic...

Tails stutters.

Tails: Will you go on a date with me!?

They blurted out the request. Heavy blush appears on their face as they look away, avoiding eye contact.

Sonic gasped. He turned red all over with a flustered face.

Sonic: Tails- I- I thought you'd never ask! Yes I'd be happy to go on a date with you!

Sonic held Tails hands with the bouquet and looked at him. Tails returned Sonic's gaze. They say nothing, too flustered to speak.

Sonic: You're so cute when you're flustered. Whenever you're ready we'll pick a place to go.

Tails nodded vigorously.

Tails: I- I was thinking of the park? We could have a picnic then go swimming in the lake.

Sonic: Of course! That sounds perfect, just like you. Although I'm not sure about swimming.

Tails let out a high pitched squeal.

Tails: Great, okay! I'll go get my swimsuit then!!

Tails hurried away quickly.

Sonic: Heh- you're so cute. I'll go get my things too.

Sonic turned the other direction and ran off.
