"What are you two doing here?"
"Uh," I was too stunned to speak. I didn't know what to say. Those brown eyes are too beautiful. She is beautiful actually, like an angel, if this is what an angel looks like.
I felt Irin pulled me on my arm, which brought me back to reality. "I'm just showing her around at the school P'Freen." I heard her say. I nodded in agreement as I continue to look at her. "No wonder this is my first time seeing her. I'm Freen, by the way." She said, offering her hand. "B-Becky. I'm Becky. I just transferred here today" I said as I took her hand.
Her hand is soft. It's the first thing that I thought. "Nice to meet you Becky." "Nice to meet you too, P'Freen." I responded. The bell rang, which signals us to go back to class. Irin and I waved our goodbye to P'Freen and went back to our classroom.
"You're blushing." Irin teased as we entered our room. "What? No, I don't think so." I said as I walked towards my assigned seat. "It must be the weather." I said, though I know earlier, I could feel my face heat up with that close distance from P'Freen. Before she could response, our teacher has entered the room already.
I managed to avoid her question this time but I feel like I won't be able to do that in the coming days. I looked outside the window and the thought of P'Freen sitting in front of the piano and singing has crossed my mind. I smiled at the thought. I think I know now where to go during my free time.
The day has passed by quickly and before I knew it, it's already time for us to go home.
----
The days passed by quickly since I first arrived here in our school. So far, I am enjoying my stay here. It's been a few months already and Irin has now become a good friend of mine. I learned a lot from her and it makes my adjustment to the school system easier. Also, I think my classmates are finally used to my presence. I no longer catch them looking at me, which makes me feel relieved. All I want is just to have a normal high school life.
"You're here again kid." I opened my eyes and saw P'Nam and P'Tee standing beside the bench where I'm lying. They belong to the same class as P'Freen. They have known me since they always see me sleeping by the bench beside the music room during my break.
"Freen has a competition today so she won't be here." P'Nam said. I'm not sure how did she know that I was waiting for P'Freen. But hearing that she won't come today, made me feel sad a little. I have been looking forward to listen to her sing everyday. Her voice calms me down when I'm having a bad day or if I'm feeling home sick because I miss the friends that I left in England.
"Is that so?" I asked. "Yes, so you should go back to your class now." P'Tee replied. "It's okay. I will return later for my next class." I said with a smile. "We'll leave you then." P'Tee said.
I stayed there until my break is over. Little did I know that it will be the last time that I will hear about P'Freen. She never came back to the music room again.
"Have you heard anything about P'Freen?" I asked Irin as we were walking towards the cafeteria. "I don't see her around anymore."
"I heard she won't be coming to school anymore." Irin responded. "I'm not sure about the details though. It's what I heard when I went to the faculty room earlier."
My heart sank after hearing those words. It means that I won't be seeing her and won't hear her sing anymore.
