Y/n stared at Wilbur in disbelief, why would he act so hostile all of a sudden? They knew they would have to fight back. They melted the icicle then evaporated the melted water that had fallen to the floor. Wilbur was taken aback by this and moved away from y/n. This gave them time to created an air shield around herself. Wilbur stood there staring at them. He called for Techno and the pink haired man can rushing in with Tommy behind him. Tommy saw the situation and started yelling.
"What the hell is going on here!" He shouted.
"This random person you brought home is wielding multiple elements!" He retorted, "they just used water and fire! And now they're using air!"
That's when y/n saw techno look over to her. She could see clearly that he was and air bender. His pink eyes started to fade into a gentle gray, while Wilbur's began turning a vibrant shade of blue. Y/n realised that this was a tell tale sign of what bending someone was using. When they were born, their eyes almost looked like TV static, as if it were a mix of many colours. But as she grew up and used blood bending more, she realised her eyes turned a crimson red. Still, whenever she used different bending techniques, her eyes would change shades.
Seeing Techno's eyes change to gray let them know that they only had one bending that they could use that the three boys wouldn't be able to control.
Earth.
With incredible speed they jumped out of the window behind her and into the backyard of the house. There they created a pillar of earth below them and propelled themselves into the air. They saw the boys running out into the yard with someone behind them. He was an older man with blond hair and green robes with a bucket hat. Another noticable feature was the dark, crow like wings on his back. They then remembered what they read in an old book their parents got them. As some air benders get older, they go to wizards and witches to get magic wings to help them fly. This way they can continue to fly without putting strain on their powers.
The older man flew up to y/n and stopped in the air in front of them. Y/n couldn't move backwards since that would force them off the edge of their stone pillar. The old man held his hand out and kept a calm expression on his face.
"Hello," he said, "my name is Philza. If I'm not mistaken, my youngest son Tommy found you in the forests and brought you here. Then my son Wilbur seemed to scare you, why is that?"
Y/n figured that it was useless to stay quiet.
"I helped boil the tea, I then froze the steam and turned it into little ice sculptures. I the melted them with fire and suddenly he got hostile and defensive!"
Philza nodded his head
"Y/n, you do understand that it's really rare to find someone of your kind. There's only mentioned to be one of you at a time, and one of you already exists. It would be natural for someone to be hostile-"
"Wait, wait, wait. What do you mean someone of my kind?"
Philza seemed bewildered by my statement.
"You kind, y'know, an avatar"
I stared at him in confusion.
"What the hell is an Avatar?"
I lowered the pillar and followed Phil back into his house. He ushered me I to a living room and sat down on the couch opposite me while his sons stood by the doorway. He handed me some tea and began explaining his earlier statement to me.
"You see y/n, mother nature herself blessed humans with the ability to control one element each, different to each individual. But, she would choose one person to become an avatar. An avatar can control every element. There is only mentioned to be one Avatar at a time, so you should not be possible."
I was shocked to hear all of this, I don't know how long I sat there processing this information before someone broke the silence.
It was the first time I had heard Techno's voice.
"Y/n, if i any ask. Where have been living your whole life?"
I looked into the now pink eyes of the young man.
"I've always lived in the home my parents built, on the outskirts of through forest where Tommy found me."
"And where are your parents?" Asked Wilbur.
"They've been dead for the last seven years."
The sentence seemed to silence the room, whether it was the context its self or the stoic tone I used to say it, something must have shocked them. I've come to term with my parents death. I knew that it would happen to everyone eventually so I knew that I had to get over it.
"Y/n, when did your parents die?" Philza asked. You could tell by his tone that he was trying to tip toe around the topic.
"There's no need to talk in that tone," I replied, "they've been dead since I was 10. They were killed by a group of soldiers."
Just as Will was about to speak, Tommy finally spoke up.
"WAIT! YOUR ONLY 17!! HOW ARE YOU SO TALL!?!" He shouted.
It seemed as if Tommy was the only one who made the age connection, but once he spoke up, the other three men saw the oddness in it.
Y/n took a second to realise that all the other girls they had seen while walking through L'manburg were a lot shorter. It then occurred to her that the only person in the room taller than them was Wilbur.
"How tall are you y/n?" Asked Techno.
"6'4" I replied.
Tommy mouth hung open. Wilbur ruffled his hair. He must have been annoyed that he was still shorter that most people in the room. Apart from Phil.
"Y/n, why don't you stay in L'manburg for a while, maybe we could find out how you're controlling every element." Phil said, "we have plenty of rooms in the castle!"
Y/n thought of the dangers, these people were strangers to her but they knew where she lived. If she ran back home they would find her. She looked back at philza.
"Sure, I'd love to stay!"
