I guess you could call this a part two...
This is, once again, an entry for Mews' Valentine's Day special (Adopt book)
ICE ICE BABY!!!!!!!!!
Scandiacus growled with annoyance and rattled his spikes irritatedly. His parents, the advisors of Queen Snowfall, were pretty annoying.
Sure, it was cool, but did they have to make such a big fuss about it? A 'huge ice sculpture in the middle of the frosted pavillon'? At least they had agreed to let him go the plan out the statue, or they'd probably have requested a huge portrait of him or something. Ugh, that sure would've been embarrassing!
The young noble huffed and shook out his wings after landing on the icy surface in front of the ice sculptor's hut.
Scandiacus studied the small cabin thoughtfully.
Huh. I thought the sculptor was second circle, why would they live here if they had the chance of residing in the castle along with the royal family?
The Icewing snorted and pushed through the polar bear furs draped over the entrance to keep the cold from getting into the shack.
Inside, it was satisfyingly warm, but still airy and light, despite the fact of the den being made partially of ice and out of wood.
He cleared his throat, wanting to make his presence known.
The beaded strings separating the front room from the main room clinked as an Icewing stepped through them and into the light reflecting off the ice walls.
Scandiacus was breathless.
He hadn't expected the professional ice sculptor to be a female!
Bright, curious grey-green eyes studied him curiously.
"Hello? Can I help you?"
The noble cleared his throat hurriedly before answering in a crisp, cool tone:
"You must be Pigeon. I'm Scandiacus, first circle second place. I believe you already have been informed of my arrival"
Her eyes glittered mischievously.
Was she making fun of him?!?!
The young noble straightened his posture, tipping his chin up.
"Ah, yes. You're the one whose parents wanted a giant ice sculpture?"
"Yes."
The ice sculptor let out a light chuckle. Her eyes glinted in the greenish light, giving them the illusion of being chips of grey-green ice.
She tilted her wings slightly, signalling for him to follow her.
The sunlight caught her wings at an angle, sending kaleidoscopic patterns chasing across the walls, flickering green and turquoise.
Pigeon turned her head around to look at him, her eyes once again getting that mischievous look.
".....Are you coming or not?"
Her voice was light and joking and sent a shower of snowflakes whirring around his heart.
"I-I'm coming!"
Did I stutter?!
He pushed through the curtain of beads, sending them into a flurry of tinkers as the smooth, cold material clinked against his scales.
The back room was very grand.
Light entered through various small holes in the ceiling that were, when you looked closer, just very thin layers of ice.
