[ Continued from ch. 5 ]
Have you ever felt like you were between death and the devil? No? Well, I am certainly experiencing this feeling right now.
"Welcome...dear customer."
A girl with long brown hair and brown eyes, wearing the uniform of a McDonald's worker, greeted me and Rumi with a 'kind' smile as we walked inside the restaurant. I am saying she greeted both of us, but to be completely honest, her eyes are solely focused on me from the moment I entered the restaurant. Now, don't take it the wrong way. She has not fallen in love with me at first sight or any bullshit like that, it's quite the opposite actually.
Anyone with decent enough observation skills can tell that she has been glaring at me, and that too with contempt in her eyes. Nobody noticed it though, because they are too busy gawking at her to notice the shift in her mood.
She is a beautiful girl, extremely so to be honest. Even in the presence of a beauty like Rumi, this girl's appearance stands out. She stands out so much that I can feel every eye inside the restaurant tainted on her and solely her.
You must be wondering, what did I do to piss off a girl like her? To answer your question, I would have to ask you if you remember when I told you about my middle school crush? She is not her(fortunately), but she was her best friend and the only other person who heard my 'big boobs' comment on that girl's genuine question.
What was this girl's name again? It was 'Bombi' or something like that... God, my memory is shit. What did I use to call her again? It was something related to a monkey-
"Gorilla woman!" Before I could stop myself, those words left my mouth out of reflex, and the reaction I got from her was a slight twitch of an eye and a small vein popping on her forehead.
"...You haven't changed much Alex, unfortunately." The girl with an unparalleled beauty spat those words with a forced smile on her face. She opened her eyes and gave me a glare which would have made the likes of Daniel and Hobin weak on their knees. I on the other hand, simply gave her a blank stare as I took in her appearance.
"Man, you sure got bi-"
"I dare you to finish that sentence Alex. You know what? Go ahead and finish it, I am actually looking forward to killing you. Just give me the reason, please." For the first time in my life, I felt a genuine threat towards my life from just sheer words from someone. I visibly flinched and stopped myself from saying whatever I was going to say. Life sucks, sure. But I still don't plan on dying anytime soon.
The orange haired beauty, Rumi Yeo, looked at me and 'Gorilla Girl' with curious eyes. She has an amused smile on her face, which I am sure is going to make this shithole of a reunion even worse.
"Woah Alex! I didn't know you had such a pretty girl as your friend! Color me surprised." Rumi, being the hyperactive bundle of joy she was, simply ignored the death threat I received from the woman in front of me and complimented her. By the expression on the Gorilla woman's face, I can tell she is pleased.
