Chapter 12

::Cassidy's POV::

I rested my head on Chresanto's chest as he rubbed my shoulder.

"I wanna be mad at you so bad," I said jokingly.

"Why?" He asked and looked down at me.

I paused. "Nothing."

"Tell me," he said and sat up.

"I just did," I said with a sassy tone.

He leaned over me. "Don't make me get agressive," he said.

"Pshhhhhh," I said and smacked my teeth. What was he gon do? He don't want these han--

I erupted into laughter as he started to tickle me. He leaned over me with his legs on both sides of my stomach.

"Okay okay okay!" I pleaded. He moved from on top of me and I sat up. "You really dated Natalie JUST to make me jealous?"

He chuckled. "Yea."

"Well it was fake right?" I asked him. "Like y'all didn't do anything?"

"Nahh.. not really," he said and looked down.

"Why you lookin like that?" I asked him. "It's not THAT bad."

He stayed quiet .

"Chres?!" I yelled, starting to get irritated. "Talk to me."

"It's nothing! I just.... I just feel bad about hurting her feelings. I think she really liked me."

"Hollll up! Who you yellin at?" I said getting in his face.

"Don't make me fix that attitude," he said and bit his bottom lip while looking me up and down.

I chuckled and got up to head to the restroom. I made sure I swished me hips from side to side as I walked away from him.

::Chresanto's POV::

After Cass went into the bathroom, I picked up my phone.

"Babe," I projected my voice through the door.

"Hmm," she answered.

"I'll be right back. I'm going to get some food."

She opened the door. "Want me to come?" She asked sweetly.

"No it's okay. Stay," I said .

"Okay. Don't take too long..?" She asked.

"Why would I do that? The sooner I get back, the sooner I get to see your beautiful face," I charmed and watched her blush.

I kissed her on the cheek then turned to walk to the door. Before I got a chance to take two steps, I felt her pull me back. She wrapped her arms around my neck, and I did the same with her waist. Our lips were pushed against each other for a few seconds then I walked out. Damn.This girl.

I left the dorm then went to the park. I sat on the bench and waited for her.

"Hey Chres," she said and hugged me. Ugh. I hate when anyone calls me that except for Cassidy.

"Hey," I took a long pause. "Look. We gotta end THIS," I said .

"Why?" Natalie asked confused. I could tell she was becoming hysterical already. Ugh. Ain't nobody got time fo this shit.

"Cuz you know I was only with you to make Cassidy jealous. I don't wanna use you like that no mo.. you deserve better," I said lying. I wanted to let her off nicely. My conscience couldn't handle just kicking her to the curb. Plus, I couldn't tell her I got with Cassidy. Not yet. I still did care about her and I could tell she really liked me.

"But we had --" she started but I cut her off. I didn't even want her to bring it up in public. Mighta fact. EVER.

"Okay," she said. "Goodbye kiss?"

I smacked my teeth silently. I leaned in and kissed her forehead, even though I knew she was expecting one on the lips.

I stepped away from her and headed back to the dorm. Whew. What a relief that was.

When I got back to my room I saw Cassidy on my bed surfing the web . As I walked in, she closed her laptop and frowned.

"Where's the food?" She said and walked over to me.

Ooh shit. I forgot all about that.

"I started to get something right," I struggled to make up a lie. "Then I noticed, I have a beautiful girl back home. Why not take her out and show her off to the rest of the world?"

She blushed hard. "Okay. Give me a few minutes to get ready."

"Okay love," I said and watched her go into the bathroom.

Right when the door shut, I exhaled a long sigh in relief. I leaned onto the wall, slid down and ran my fingers through my hair. I hope all these lies don't catch up with me.
