Chapter 16

::Cassidy's POV::

I sighed and rolled my eyes. "I'm sorry," I said directed to Chres. "I just dont get why you go with he--" I turned to face him but realized he wasn't there.

I looked around the square and saw him with Natalie.

I just watched them interact. His back was facing me so I couldn't see him but I saw her.

Her smile at him. The closeness of their bodies.

Then, they shared a kiss. It caused a hollow feeling in my chest as I watched.

Next, they held hands and walked towards our dorm building. I just took a deep breath. Yeah, it did hurt to see Chresanto with another girl, but like he said, I broke up with him. Plus, he's moved on. So basically, me wanting him is just making me look desperate.

I decided not to go to my dorm. I didn't want to risk seeing the two of them together. The best way to get over a break up is not to get another boyfriend but to separate yourself from the person.

I decided to go to Alex's dorm again. He was always good to talk to.

::Chresanto's POV::

It'd been 3 hours and I finally had got Natalie to leave. You can imagine what we were doing... but I tried to keep it low. I didn't want Cassidy to hear us.

I felt horrible about everything but I couldn't stop now. It was too late.

It was stuffy in my room so I opened my windows. When I did, I saw Cassidy walking with some guy. She didn't look mad, like before when she saw me. She was happy and vibrant and was laughing. I haven't seen her like that in a while.

I stared at her and chuckled, remembering all the fun times we had. I knew I needed to let her go. My mixed signals were preventing her from moving on, but I couldn't. I was still in love with her.

I opened my door so that when she walked by, she would have no choice but to see me. She's suspended though, so she has to be coming back soon.

I was determined to talk to her. I didn't want to lead her on, but I couldn't have her talking to some other dude. She was still mine... well technically.

I sat on my bed and stared at the empty doorway. I couldn't risk missing her. I had to talk to Cassidy. Clear everything up. It was time for me to tell the truth. I didn't want to lose her permanently.

::Cassidy's POV::

Even though I was suspended, I tried avoiding my room as much as possible til about 12am. I knew that this was dangerous, considering if I was caught after hours I would get into serious trouble. Especially, since Im already suspended!

But I wanted to make absolute SURE that Chresanto wasn't up. I didn't want him to hear me, see me, talk to me or ANYTHING.

I dodged all of the Campus officers by hiding behind buildings and shit until I got into my dorm.

Whew. I took a sigh of relief. Half of my mission was over. I got here without anyone seeing me, now I just gotta get to my room without Chres seeing me.

I tip toed to my room and placed my key into the lock. I turned the key and started to push the door op---

"Cassidy," I heard.

"Shit," I whispered so that I only heard my statement.
