Healing Hearts: A Dana Vaughns love story

Chapter 2

"Hey Chelsea! I'm Dalton!"

"Hey, I'm Will!"

"Hey there, I'm Cole!"

Hey, I'm Gabe!"

"Hey guys, I'm Chelsea!" I waved as they waved back. I sat with all of them at lunch. Cole's girlfriend, Samatha and her cousin, Cassie joined us. We all told each other our names and talked and laughed a lot! I couldn't help but notice Dalton noticing Cassie. She was also eyeballing him! Me and Dana were the only freshman so we had to leave early to go to our next class. We had History and Chemistry next. Dana sat next to me. 

"Welcome students! I'm Mrs.Franklin. Today we will be taking a short test just to see all that you have learned from your previous History classes."

The teacher passed out the test packets and I zipped right through it. Dana on the other hand had some trouble. He ended up scoring a 75. He looked kinda bumbed so I nudged his arm and whispered;

"Hey, are you alright?"

"Yeah, I'm okay! Thanks!"

"Okay!" 

Class ended shortly and I went to P.E while Dana went to Spanish. The end of the day finally arrived and we dismissed to go home. I waited for my Mom to pick me up. 

"Hey sweetie! How'd you first day go?"

"Hi mom! It was good!"

"Did you make any new friends?" she asked. 

"Yeah, have you heard of a band named IM5? They go to school here and I met all of them! The youngest one, Dana Vaughns is in a lot of my classes! Their all nice boys!" I said grining. 

"Good, I'm glad! I think you will like it here!"

I thought to myself, 'I hope.' 
When we got home, I pulled out my MacBook and began working on my homework. It wasn't a lot. I just had to answer a bunch of English questions.  My phone lit up with a text from Dana. How did he get my number? 

"Hey Chelsea! Sorry to be so short today. I just was upset about that test grade. I have to keep good grades or Eben gets mad at us."

"Hey Dana, it's okay! Don't worry I get upset too! I can tutor you in History if you want?" 

"Sure, how is Thursday? I have rehersals from 3-5 so is after that good?"

"Yeah that's fine! Just call me after you rehersals and we will go from there. Okay? Lol
Btw, thanks for showing me around some today! It helped a lot!"

"Anytime, I'm glad I was the one to show you around :) See you tomorrow"

"Okay, see-ya!"

We hadn't known each other that long, but he was such a sweet boy. Maybe when I start tutoring him, we can get closer as friends. Then go from there!

"Chelsea! It's time for dinner!" My mom called from downstairs.

"Coming, Mom!"

Maybe this year wouldn't be half as bad as I thought it would be. Maybe Dana was making it all okay. Maybe, just maybe I was starting to have a little crush on him. And I knew for a fact I couldn't wait to see him tomorrow. And to tutor him.
