( 3rd persons POV )
Kakashi walked out of his apparent and down the road to the war memorial the first place he always went in the morning. He walked over to it and just as he got closer he saw a kid. The kid was asleep on the ground he had lots of cuts and bruises. He was also very small for his age. When he got closer he saw he had yellow hair and knew it was Naruto his old sensei's kid. He touched him arm softy to wake him up. Naruto opened his blue eyes and saw the guy in front of him then backed away in fear.
"Hey I'm not going to hurt you Naruto" Kakashi said. Kakashi reached out his hand slowly. Naruto hesitated then took his hand. Kakashi picked him up in his arms than ran back home. Kakashi opened the door and walked in. "Kakashi what are you doing back home" Iruka asked. "I could not just leave him there all alone" Kakashi said then tuned around to show Iruka Naruto. "Is he ok" Iruka asked coming over. Kakashi put Naruto down on the couch. Iruka ran to get the first aid kit then came back. "Who did this to you" Iruka asked. Naruto stayed quiet looking at his feet. Iruka bandaged Naruto's cuts slowly without wanting to scare the kid. After Naruto calmed down both men sat next to him. "Let me start off first ok my name is Iruka and this is my husband Kakashi what is your name" Iruka asked calmly. Naruto looked up slowly. "My name is Naruto" Naruto said. "How old are you Naruto" Iruka asked. Naruto held up four fingers. "He's so small for a four year old" Iruka said to Kakashi.
"Naruto do you have any parents" Iruka asked. "No" Naruto said looking down sad. Kakashi took Iruka into the kitchen. "Naruto is my old sensei kid you know the kyuubi attack" Kakashi said in a soft voice. "Oh" Iruka said. They both walked back into the living room. "Naruto can you tell me who hurt you" Iruka said kneeling in front of him. "The people at the orphanage don't like me they call me a demon and don't let me play with the other kids" Naruto said. "We should adopt him" Iruka said. "U sure a kid is a lot of work" Kakashi said. "We can do it I've always wanted kids that's why I'm a teacher" Iruka said. "Alright but we will have to talk to the Hokage" Kakashi said. Iruka smiled. Naruto do you want us to adopt you" Iruka asked. Naruto looked up. "You won't hurt me right" Naruto asked with hope in his eyes. "We would never hurt you" Kakashi said. "Yah" Iruka said. "Alright yes" Naruto said smiling.
Kakashi picked Naruto up into his arms holding him. They all walked to the Hokage tower. When they got there they walked in and up to the 3rd's office. Iruka knocked on the door. "Come in" called the Hokage. They both walked in. "What can I help you boys with oh you have Naruto" the 3rd Hokage said. "We want to adopt him" Kakashi said. "Just look at him the orphanage is not treating him well" Iruka said. "Alright I'll put in the paper work for you guys" the 3rd Hokage said. Both men were happy that Naruto was going to be theirs.
