Sakura's life after high school was lackluster, to say the least. After graduation, everything seemed to go downhill. She didn't get into the school she wanted to. That hurt her the most when she was transitioning out of high school. Most of her friends moved away from their colleges. It felt like she was being left behind.
The shit that happened in high school was something she tried to bury in her mind. The girls who bullied her for her figure only fueled the hate she had for her body. She was still struggling with her self-esteem being a voluptuous and curvy woman. With the shit that happened with Kuroo, it didn't help. Sakura was lost for a while, with herself and in the world.
The hobby she loved slowly died.
She couldn't paint anymore after high school. Every time she started a painting, she could not bring herself to finish. All motivation left her until everything she worked for crumbled. The person she had fallen in love with and had a relationship with after high school eventually broke things off. It was another blow to her self-esteem.
Sakura felt like a shell of a person.
As time went on, Sakura did jobs here and there but nothing long-term. Nothing ever worked out, so she looked elsewhere. She ended up working part-time in retail as a cashier at a lingerie shop.
That job she enjoyed.
She loved seeing all the lingerie in the shop and how they made people feel. People were always so confident when they bought them. Now and then she would buy some with her employee discount.
