I brush away tears which escaped from the window of my soul. I still recall that sweet and passionate night after graduation. I really wished it never ended. I never regretted giving in to the man I truly love. Because of that I have now the best gift from heaven—my dear special angel, Kira. It has been five years already. Five long years that I have lived on my own away from the people I love—my family, friends, and him.
"Mo—mmie," Kira called running in her pajamas towards the kitchen table. She's really charming. She looks like her father a lot. How I wish everything turned out well between us. It still hurts. Of course it does. Time could heal the wound but it can never take away the scar it left.
I smiled to my angel, hugged her tight, and kissed her. Kira did the same to me. She is the very reason I never regretted loving his father though it really hurts like hell. She is a sweet, thoughtful, kind, beautiful girl. She is my everything, since the day I got aware of her existence and she'll always will be.
"Good morning my princess Kira. Happy birthday!"
Her eyes sparkled and cutely said,"Thankish mommie! Isn't Ninang Rush coming? She said she'd buy me lots of candiesh and chockiesh."
I chuckled to her undeniable charm. Rush, Kira's godmother, was actually the last person on Earth I would hang out with way back in high school because of her loudness, nosiness and this huge ball of energy surrounding her that seem to be infinite. But after what happened to me five years ago I came bumping into her and she took care of me and Kira. She was like my newfound soul sister since I ran away from everyone.
"I guess any minute by now she's going to ring that bell and be here with tons and tons of sweets for you," I answered my daughter back with my hand gesturing tons and tons by spreading my arms widely.
And as if by magic our doorbell had rung. Kira hurriedly ran to open the door. And I was not mistaken, Rush was there with Nate, her fiancé, bringing a large bag which I presume contained sweets and other stuffs.
I arranged the table with the foods ready on it. I have been expecting them to join us with our breakfast today. Nate and Rush are the two people I am deeply indebted to. Because of them I was able to raise my Kira well. We happily ate our meal and soon after had a chit-chat.
"So when are you going to exchange vows?" I asked Nate and Rush. They just smiled and looked at each other with their hands locked together. Awwwww—I am a bit jealous with this couple. I am so excited for them.
"Two or three months from now I guess," said Nate, he looked at her fiancé with so much love and continued talking, "I want to give her the best wedding ever."
"Jeez! You're making me so envious," I said with humor.
"Oh, by the way," Rush snapped, "you are going to be my Maid of Honor and your Kira will be our most charming Flower Girl." Rush giggled upon the thought of her very own wedding.
"Of course! I would really strangle you if you wouldn't do that."
We all laughed and continued talking some random stuff. Kira emerged from her room beside her nanny all dressed up. She's ready to go. We are all ready to go to church and afterwards spend the whole day to one of Nate's family resort somewhere in the North. Our things have been packed and put in the car's trunk.
By lunch time we arrived at the resort. After arranging our things at our own rooms in the white Mediterranean Resthouse owned by Nate's family we proceeded with our abundant mouthwatering meal. It was fun pigging out with the view of the beach nearby.
Later this afternoon we would go for a Barbecue Party at the beach for my angel. She likes barbecue and beaches like me. I am pretty sure she would have fun later.
