Standing in front of what looked like a castle straight out of the middle ages, I shook my head and pinched myself trying to figure out if this is all just a dream. One moment I was sitting in my apartment reading a book and the next I was falling through the sky. I look around and I see that there are at least 20 other kids here all around the same age as me. I catch the eye of one girl looking just as bewildered as I am. I decided to walk over and introduce myself.
I got over to the girl who has red hair and striking blue eyes, I put out my hand and introduced myself, "Hi, I'm Agatha." The girl looks up and looks at me with a confused look on her face. I can't tell if she's confused about why I would come to talk with her or if she's confused about where she's at but nonetheless, she also puts out her hand and shakes mine and introduces herself,
"Oh, hi, I'm River. I'm so confused. Do you know where we're at? I was walking to the library and the next thing I knew I was falling through the sky and landing in front of this castle-like structure."
"Honestly I don't know where we're at either," I answer. "One moment I was reading a book and the next I was also falling through the sky."
River was very pretty and she seemed really nice, her voice soft and kind. River's voice had a calming edge to it. I was still very confused but at least her voice shaved some of my confusion off. Little did I know that I would soon learn that everyone here doesn't remember the life they had before landing in front of this castle, I somehow seem to be the only one who actually remembered parts of my life.
I look up when I hear this loud voice coming from what seems like nowhere telling everyone to go inside the castle. River and I start walking and following all the other people. We all stop in this big room, there's this old man standing up on a podium welcoming everyone to this place. I soon realized that this place was a school, a school for people gifted in magic. Thing is, I don't believe in magic so I don't know why I'm here. I know my mom did but I have always believed it was just parlor tricks and science is behind it.
