"Why are you breaking that portal Dream?"
Dream stops his movements as he turns towards the voice. Quackity peers at him in confusion, folding his arms and tapping his foot. He sighs, he had forgotten how observant Quackity was. Dream stood straight and faked a smile.
"I was just relocating some of them. They've been wonky lately and I'm just fixing them up."
Quackity raises an eyebrow at his explanation. Relocating the portals had nothing to do with fixing them. He decides to let it go for the moment and nods his head before turning around and leaving.
His steps echoed against the hardwood of the Prime Path. It had gotten way quieter since Tommy's exile. Quackity would be lying to himself if he said he wasn't worried for the boy. Whenever he wanted to leave and visit him, he was always cut short by Dream. It was like Dream always had something convenient that needed to be done whenever he had time to see Tommy. It was weird. It felt like Dream didn't want anyone to go see Tommy. But why? Why couldn't anyone see Tommy?
That was the question Quackity wanted answered the most. While the others were going insane over Techno's quietness, Quackity was thinking of Tommy. He knew the others cared for the kid, hell Tubbo more so than anyone but, it felt as if everyone moved on too quickly. Tommy's a kid, a child who made stupid decisions, in exile. Was he the only one that saw an issue with that statement? He knew Tommy could handle his own weight, but still, shouldn't someone other than the person who pushed for his exile be able to keep tabs on him. It felt creepy to even think about yet that's all he did.
Whenever he was in a meeting for the L'manberg affairs his mind would drift to Tommy. Passing by a yellow flower, he thought of Tommy. Scraping his knee and needing a Band-Aid, he thought of Tommy. And the more he thought of the kid, the more it didn't seem right and today he was going to see why.
Quackity hid his armor in his inventory as he prepared to go see the boy. It had been exactly 2 years since the boy was exiled. He would be 11 if that served Quackity's memory correctly. It still didn't make sense to him that an 11-year-old was exiled from a country he helped fight for by his also 11 year old best friend who was the President. God the adults here absolutely suck. He should be able to say that seeing as he had just turned 18.
To go see the boy was easy, a plan to go see the boy was where his problem landed. Dream knows everything. He knows where everyone is and what they've eaten down to what sock they decided to wear that day. It creeped Quackity out but everyone just seemed to see that as normal and didn't question it. So, Quackity decided he would use Dream's own knowledge against him.
In order to go see Tommy he needed to use a portal. Dream had relocated every portal that went to the island of exile except one, the one that Dream still uses. So that brought another problem. Having to find the portal. This is where trusty potions come in. He'll have to make some under wraps so Dream wouldn't know by word of mouth. But where would he get potions? Fundy. No one knew but, Fundy had kept the first potion brewing stand his father made when L'manberg was first founded. He could gather ingredients and while Fundy is distracted, make his potions. Moving from there he'd make invisibility potions in order to follow Dream around until he visited Tommy.
With this he'd have to find an alibi so Dream wouldn't suspect his disappearance. He'd lie and say he was sick. To sell this he would eat rotten flesh from a mob and pretend it was something else. He needed to sell the idea that he was sick so this might be his best option. Afterwards, he'll follow Dream, see how Tommy's doing, and go back home like nothing happened. This plan was full proof and was going to work. Now all he needed to do, was put the plan in action.
